While the enhanced contactreliability is very important toconventional circuits, it isindispensable in circuits withelectronic interfaces (involving lowvoltages and small currents). Referfig. 1.

Mounting

The actuators, lens assemblies areinserted through the cut-out on thepanel door / housing cover into aholder and twist-latched into it. Theholder is secured to the panel door/ housing cover by means of twoscrews. A plastic holder is used forthe rear connection components; ametallic holder is required for thefront connection 3SB componentswhen used outside 3SB08 pushbutton stations. Refer fig 4.

The rear connection contact blocksare snap-mounted on the plasticholder; the front connectioncontact blocks may be either snap-mounted on a suitably profiledchannel or they may be screw-mounted.

SICONT 3SB Wide band LEDPilot lights:

The 3SB Wide band LED PilotLights are suitable for rearconnection type installation in anycontrol and auxiliary circuit. ThisLED Pilot Light is an integral, selfsufficient module of lens assembly,LED Lamps, lamp holder andcontrol circuitry. It can be mounteddirectly on the panel and the ratedvoltage can be applied directly toits input terminals.

The SICONT 3SB Wide Band LEDPilot light offers the followingfeatures:

• Wide band voltage: TheSICONT 3SB wide band LEDpilot lights are deigned to glowat voltages from 42V to 240V ACand 42V to 220V DC. Thisensures savings in theinventory costs as a single unitserves the purpose of 10 stockkeeping units. (42V, 63.5V, 110V,150V, 240V AC or DC)

• Ensured illumination ofminimum 100 lux: Theillumination level is minimum100 lux on the surface of thelens.

• Easy identification: The colourof the enclosure is same as thatof the lens assembly. This helpsin easy stocking/identification.

• Easier ordering & stockinglogistics: The SICONT 3SBWide band LED Pilot lightsbeing a single integral unit oflens assembly, holder & controlcircuitry, the ordering &stocking logistics is very simple.

• Easier termination: Thepatented SIGUT termination ofSiemens provides safe, secure& fast termination. The screwsare captive and are supplied inpre-loosened state.

• Built in low voltage glowprotection: The LED pilot lightsare essentially Light Emitting

Diodes which start glowing atlow voltages as low as 4V. TheWide band LED pilot lights areprovided with 25V Low voltageglow protection (LVGP). Thiseliminates the possibility of anyfalse indication due to leakagevoltage or current.

The 3SB Push Button Stations comprise 3SBcomponents enclosed in a dual coloured, IP65,pressure die-cast aluminium housing. The stations arelight, compact and easy to grip with minimumoperator fatigue. A plug is provided to seal the unusedcable entry opening.
