DETAILED ITINERARY

Safari

Day 1: Nairobi Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport you will be met and assisted by our

airport representative. You will then be transferred to Fairmont The Norfolk

Hotel for dinner and overnight at the Norfolk Hotel.

The Norfolk Hotel has played a leading role in Kenya's colorful history, and continues to be one of the best-known luxury hotel in Nairobi, Kenya. The Nairobi luxury hotel offers luxury accommodations in 170 guest rooms and suites, has eight conference rooms, a heated outdoor swimming pool, health club with gym, sauna and steam room and gift shops.

Modern Nairobi is still the safari capital of the Africa, but the modern world has quickly caught up with the city. A frontier town no more, Nairobi has

become one of Africa’s largest, and most interesting cities. However, the city has not lost its sense of the past, with an excellent museum and the historical home of Karen Blixen, author of Out of Africa open to visitors. Just outside the city is Nairobi National Park, 113 sq. Kms of plains, cliffs and forest.

Day 2: Nairobi- Masai Mara Breakfast will be served at The Norfolk Hotel. You will be transferred to

Wilson Airport for a short flight to the Famous Masai Mara Reserve. Your

base in the Masai Mara will be the Fairmont Mara Safari Club. Your stay

includes accommodation, meals, and game drives.

Surrounded on three sides by the breathtaking Mara River and on the edge

of the world’s Seventh “New” Wonder of the World – the Masai Mara -

Fairmont Mara Safari Club is the epitome of tented luxury. Guests can choose

from a wide range of activities at Fairmont Mara Safari Club, including game

drives, and or a stroll in the footprints of the hippo-trodden path escorted by

a Masai Moran. This luxurious tented camp will be your home for the next

three days.

Day 3: Masai Mara

Breakfast at the Camp followed by a morning game drive in Mara North Conservancy. The Mara, as it’s popularly referred to, is Kenya’s most frequented wildlife viewing area. The name means “Spotted Plain” in the language of the Masaai, the colorful and interesting tribe which inhabits the surrounding areas. Lunch will be served at the club. After lunch, depart for an afternoon game drive and look out for the big cats, Lion, Leopard, & Cheetah. You might also spot a Maasai Moran, well known for their distinctive custom and dress.

The Maasai Mara Ecosystem holds one of the highest lion densities in world and this is where over two million Wildebeest, Zebras and Thompson’s Gazelle migrate annually. The beauty of Masai Mara is that it plays host to all the mainstream wildlife. Chances of spotting a lion are high. Zebras and Wildebeests are common. Dinner and

overnight at the Camp.

Day 4: Masai Mara

Start off your morning with an early morning balloon ride, and glide over the Mara plains, viewing the wildlife. Champagne breakfast is served when you land. This will be a day of lots of relaxation. After breakfast, relax and enjoy the facilities offered at the camp. There are also a variety of activities you can engage in. A bush dinner can be arranged at the lodge later in the evening to sum up this memorable stay in Masai Mara.

While in the Mara, there are variety of activities that one can engage in other than game drives. They include, balloon Safaris, picnics, sundowners, cultural tours, guided bush walks.

Day 5: Masai Mara - Nairobi After breakfast at the lodge, you will check out and bid farewell to the Masai Mara as

you are transferred to the airstrip for your flight back to the city. Depending on the

time you arrive in Nairobi, you can have a city tour and later have dinner at the

famous Carnivore restaurant meat is roasted over charcoal and carved at your table

- a beast of a feast as some refer it to, thereafter you will be transferred to the

airport for your departure flight.

A city tour in Nairobi could involve a visit to various sites such as KICC, Masai

Market, Nairobi National Museum, Daphne Elephant Orphanage, Karen Blixen

Museum, Giraffe Centre, Kazuri beads and Bomas of Kenya among others.
