He managed to escape after being a slave for six years and then studied in a monastery in

Gaul for 12 years. This was when he knew that his ‘calling’ was to try and convert all the pagans in

Ireland to Christianity. -

What makes the Celtic Cross different from the Christian cross?

The Celtic Cross is a symbol that combines a cross with a ring surrounding the intersectio,

and the Christian Cross is the seen as a representation of the instrument of the

crucifixion of Jesus Christ, is the best-known religious symbol of Christianity.
