Former middle school teacher and founder of CarlyMarly Designs, Carly Marks sells her designs to Urban Outfitters and select boutiques, at events in LA and NYC, as well as at the favorite mainline show, Clover Market. Carly could not be more excited to return to St. Peter’s to teach how to make trendy bohemian jewelry designs and accessories you won’t want to take off the rest of the school year! All instructors are certified to teach the FAP system, which has produced two world champions and many athletes on elite college teams. Special lightweight equipment will be provided for beginners, who will learn the basics of fencing movement, timing and distance. Intermediate students will stay an additional 30 minutes and will concentrate on controling the weapon and hitting correctly.

Golf$130•Grades2-6Wednesday4:00-4:45•OldPineNo class 1/14 and 3/4. Make-Up Date – March 25 Minimum 6 • Maximum 8Golf has made its way back onto St. Peter’s campus. Mr. Maxwell will guide children as they learn the basics of golf. The class will be held at Old Pine and on the West Lawn’s putting green. Golfers will practice their skills by hitting off of a mat with plastic balls, and they will partake in putting competitions. Clubs are provided.

Young Rembrandts$170•GradesPS-KWednesday3:40-4:15•ClassroomMake-Up Date – March 25 Minimum 5 • Maximum 10Returning to St. Peter’s this winter, Young Rembrandts teaches drawing with a see – touch – do method that all kids can learn and love! As children practice drawing and coloring with our step-by-step method, they develop observation skills and increase their fine motor skills, handwriting readiness and attention to detail. Participating in Young Rembrandts’ creative and encouraging classes helps young children learn to follow directions, hold and use a pencil, and stay on task. Young Rembrandts is a different kind of learning and a powerful kind of fun!

Creative Writing Club$210•Grades2-5Wednesday4:00-5:00•ClassroomMake-Up Date – March 25 Minimum 5 • Maximum 10Wild stories and wish lists, dreams and word games, diaries by animals, odes to everyday objects, and much much more: Kids who love to tell jokes, make up riddles, play with words and use their imaginations will write stories and poems, by themselves and together. We’ll post our favorite word creations on the class blog and present a poetry and story reading for friends and family at the last class. A sense of fun is the only pre-requisite. Participants should bring a notebook with removable pages and a folder to keep their finished writing in. Led by nationally-acclaimed poet and St. Peter’s mom, Daisy Fried.

Hip Hop$180•GradesK-3Thursday4:15-5:00•TheaterMake-Up Date – March 26 Minimum 4 • Maximum 10The instructors from Metro Kids will introduce students to Hip Hop and Jazz in this funky class. Students will learn warm-up techniques and will practice moving across the floor, various routines, partner work, freeze dancing and more! The goal is for kids to feel comfortable moving and dancing using their own creative minds. Parents will be invited to attend a mini performance at the end of the course.

Kiddy Yoga$120•GradesPS-KThursday3:30-4:00•ClassroomMake-Up Date – March 26 Minimum 4 • Maximum 10In this class led by Ms. Ham, kids will learn age appropriate yoga exercises, principles and practices that will help encourage focus, inner peace, discipline and creativity. Fun, creative movement, play, theatre stories and games will also be featured. Kids will also be introduced to world music, vivid picture books, inspiring scents and imaginative props.

RegistrationSpots in enrichment classes are confirmed once registration forms and payments are received. All classes have minimum and maximum requirements for enrollment. For that reason, classes may be cancelled or closed. Classes cancelled due to weather-related school closures may not always be able to be rescheduled

Students enrolled in enrichment courses will receive a snack and all other ASCP services on the day of their enrichment class. Families need not pay for separate after school care on these days.

PaymentPayment for enrichment classes is due before the start of the first class. Please make checks payable to St. Peter’s School. Checks can be mailed to St. Peter’s School at 319 Lombard Street or submitted to the front desk. Please write “Attention Lydie Miller” or “Enrichment” on the envelope.

In this awesome course with Mrs. Brady, you can choose to crochet, knit and/or weave. We will combine our creations and find a local tree, pole, bike rack, or other object to yarn bomb! All materials will be provided by SPS, and projects may be taken home between classes.
