High-profile system provisioning and disaster recovery services are part of the daily business for every cloud service provider, and so it is for the Managed Cloud Delivery (MCD) department at SAP SE. MCD provides the SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud service ®– the fully managed, secure cloud for software applications based on the SAP HANA platform.

To safeguard tight service-level agreements for its customers regarding provisioning and disaster recovery times, MCD uses SAP Landscape Virtualization Management ®software as its central administration console for orchestrating setup and recovery services. By adopting its own software for system landscape management, including its extensibility framework, the MCD team is minimizing efforts for many complex administration tasks – which is good news for SAP and for its customers.
