Bellevue (French for “beautiful view”) It was the first state capitol.

Bellevue - the oldest continuous town in Nebraska. The Nebraska State Legislature has credited the town as being the second oldest settlement in Nebraska. It was once the seat of government in Nebraska.

Home to Offutt Air Force Base. Offutt Air Force Base is home of the 55th Wing, the Fightin’ Fifty-Fifth, and a variety of partner units. Offutt’s diverse missions and global responsibilities put it on the cutting edge of the Air Force’s transformation. Each branch of the US military is represented among the approximately 10,000 military and federal employees assigned here.

Gretna started shortly after the Burlington Railroad built a short line between Omaha and Ashland in the summer of 1886.

The name suggests Scotland’s Gretna Green, the ancestral county of some of the earliest settlers.

Eagle Hills Golf Course This 18-hole complex comprises two 9-hole layouts: The Links and The Meadows. The Links is an executive course built on a hillside and surrounding flatland. The Meadows is a par-3 course designed like The Links except without the uphill or downhill lies. 501 Eagle Hills Drive, Papillion402-592-7788 • www.eaglehills.org

Fontenelle Hills Golf Club Carved into the hillsides of the Fontenelle Hills area, this short, aesthetic course challenges golfers’ finesse with wooded, narrow fairways—many of which are ringed by sharp hillside drops. 1102 Country Club Court, Bellevue402-292-2500
