Off the southwest coast of India, the Maldives are a picturesque nation of over 1,000 islands though only 185 of those islands are inhabited. Tourists have only discovered this gem in the past few decades. Kurumba was the very first resort to open its doors there, in 1972. Get there with a quick 10-minute speedboat ride from the airport in Mal. Once youre there, snorkel at the reef just steps away from your room, taste wine near the clear lagoon, take out a kayak, or enjoy food from one of the eight restaurants. Pick from a number of meal plans or upgrade to the all-inclusive package, starting around $115/adult.
