Learning gains for FCAT Math or FCAT Reading using the NEW FCAT 2.0 Scale

Score • Three Ways:

1.Improve an achievement level 2.Maintain level 3-53.Remaining in Achievement Level 1 or 2 and demonstrate increase in the SS score

Note: Retained students remaining in levels 1 or 2 will need to demonstrate the same amount of growth as non-retained students at the same grade level. Retained 3rd graders would be expected to demonstrate the same point gains as 4th graders.

• Students who move up 1 or more achievement levels to –level 4 will receive additional weighting to 1.1 –Level 5 will receive additional weighting to 1.2
