$90 PER DIVISION – Make checks payable to DVCTA PLEASE HELP THE SECRETARY - ENTER ON TIME. Late fee/Incomplete Entries after clos-ing date: $25. No refund after closing date. Refunds prior to closing date incur $25 processing fee.

This event runs under USEA eventing guidelines-safety vests and medical armbands are required for cross country. Jackets are waived for dressage, but shirts must have sleeves. Stadium and XC will not be timed. Ties broken by collective marks of Dressage Judge if necessary.

I hereby assume this risk and further do hereby release and hold harmless DVCTA, Carousel Park, the organizing committee, officers, judges, managers, officials, and volunteers from all liability for negligence resulting in accidents, damage, injury, or illness to myself and my property including the horse or horses which I will compete at this event. NEW CASTLE COUNTY/CAROUSEL PARK PARTICIPANT LIABILITY RELEASE We, the Parent/Legal Guardian and Participant as listed and signed below, hereby acknowledge and understand that horseback riding and being around horses are dangerous activities which can result in injury and death. As participant and parent or legal guardian of the participant, we agree that we will not sue or make a claim against NEW CASTLE COUNTY, its employees or agents (collectively the “released parties”) for injuries and/or damages that may occur as a result of the participant’s involvement in horseback riding, horseback riding instruction, handling, or being on or near horses or ponies on the property of CAROUSEL PARK. We hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless the released parties from all losses, damages, judgments, costs, and counsel fees that may occur as a result of injury to the participant or his or her involvement in equine activities, and related claims by any parties. We understand that risks are involved in riding, handling, or being on or near horses and ponies (including, but not limited to falling off a horse or being kicked by a horse), and by signing this agreement, we take full responsibility in the event of any injury. We have read this release, waiver and indemnity agreement, and we understand the risks involved and agree to assume them. We sign this agreement voluntarily and with full knowledge of its significance.

WARNING: PURSUANT TO DELWARE LAW, 10 DELAWARE CODE §8140, AN EQUINE PROFESSIONAL IS NOT LIABLE FOR AN INJURY TO OR THE DEATH OF A PARTICIPANT IN EQUINE ACTIVITIES RESULTING FROM THE INHERENT RISK OF EQUINE ACTIVITIES. Moreover, governmental entities and their employees shall be immune from tort claims seeking recovery of damages pursuant to 10 Del.
