Equifax Data Breach: What You Should KnowEquifax has created a website for consumers to learn more about their cybersecurity incident, including whether your personal information was potentially impacted, or to sign up for complimentary identity theft protection and credit file monitoring. Below are steps to take to determine your impact and recommendations to monitor your finances.

• To determine if you were impacted, visit www.equifaxsecurity2017.com, click on “Am I Impacted?”, then follow the on-screen instructions. The site will tell you whether your personal information may have been impacted.

• Regardless of whether your information may have been impacted, Equifax will provide you the option to enroll in TrustedID Premier. After checking if you were impacted you will see an option to enroll. The enrollment period ends on Tuesday, November 21, 2017.

• Review your checking and credit card account statements for unauthorized transactions. Immediately report any unauthorized activity. Use online banking and mobile banking to check your transactions more frequently.

• Review the accuracy of your credit reports from Equifax, TransUnion and Experian. You get one from each bureau free every twelve months. Visit www.annualcreditreport.com to learn more. Report any discrepancies.

• Be aware of potential email, phone, mail and check scams. Don’t send money to or deposit checks from unknown people or companies.
