Work Experience: Grant Architects, Los Angeles, CA: Junior Designer, March 2009 – January 2010 - Part of the design team for the new LeMay American Car Museum in Tacoma, WA. - Contributed to the production and completion of 100% CD set, incorporating product research into the building design and construction detailing while coordinating these various building assemblies with all consultants. - Part of the design team for the new Aquatic Center in Snohomish, WA, developing two different schemes to 100% SD completion. - Explored various structural systems and pool requirements to incorporate their aesthetic into a controlled design with complex geometry. Michael Maltzan Architecture, Los Angeles, CA: Junior Designer, September 2008 – January 2009 - Part of the design team for the new San Francisco State Performing Arts Center. - Programming and planning of a 3 phase, 250,000 sq. ft. performing arts center during the pre-schematic design period; including managing the formal development and spatial layout while meeting ASF / GSF requirements. - Theater design of both a 1,200 seat and 450 seat theaters in coordination with theater and acoustical consultants to create new typologies in performance space and seating arrangements. - Lead coordination with mechanical consultant on layout and design of MEP spaces for the entire project scope. - Assisted in client presentations at San Francisco State of progress schemes. - Managed all rapid prototyping and fabrication of presentation models. Randall Stout Architects, Los Angeles, CA: Junior Designer February, 2006 – July 2007 - Part of the design team for the expansion of the Art Gallery of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada (currently under construction). - Contributed to the production of drawings from 50% SD through 100% Construction Documents; coordinating BIM models with separate geometric digital models and drawing sets. - Worked to refine all curved surfaces to eliminate double curvature, incorporate primary structure and maximize repeatable panels for Zahner and 3Form Construction. - Coordinating with structural engineers the implementation of new and existing structure with proposed design and tracking any changes through the drawing set and digital geometrical model. - In charge of tracking all interior changes and material calculation deltas for pricing between drawing issue sets - Coordinated all rapid prototyping of study and presentation models, as well as digitizing schematic hand made models for development. - Production of interior and exterior renderings for museum promotional use. - Coordinated with company representatives for all interior materials used and documented their layout in individual spaces. Morphosis Architects, Santa Monica, CA: Junior Designer / Intern, June – December 2005 - Contributed in the schematic design of the Morphosis Pompidou installation, including digital modeling, construction of a 1:1 scale mock-up and creating specialized display layouts for each project in the show. - Aided in creating schematic design proposals for Madrid Housing Development and Giant Group Pharmaceutical office building, including drawings, diagrams and physical models. - Produced presentation models for Javits Convention Center and Dubai Mixed-Use Tower competitions. - Created presentation models for the New Academic Building at Copper Union, including all the digital preparation for laser cutting and 3-D printing.
