Getting Your Resume Ready

• Word documents are best

• No headers or footers

• No pictures, please

• Quantifiable accomplishments are great

• Do not list references on your resume

Do Recruiters Really Use LinkedIn? YES!

• We search by key word

• We post in groups vs. general postings

• We find people who report to people who fit our searches

• We find references

• We learn about our industries

• We sleuthily search for people we are not connected with . . . pretty tricky

• With the Duffy model, the process was shorter and more efficient, and within our current budget constraints. We had the assistance of the Duffy recruiter to help us distill our thinking to clarify just what we were looking for. Her counsel was very instrumental in guiding us to our decision.

• The Duffy recruiter provided me with qualified candidates only; not a long list of candidates for the sake of a long list. She coordinated the international interviews and interviews with my boss, and was able to fit right in as part of the team.
