Detail-oriented Senior Design Professional with a diverse
background in the compressor industry. Experience includes
designing parts for industrial, portable,oil free and breathing air

manufacturer of industrial and portable compressors.
Senior Designer/Product Development 1999 to 2008Designed and
revised portable, stationary and oil free compressors using UG
NX4(CAD). Created and edited Bill of Materials on company database
(J.D. Edwards).Solved fit-up issues. Chose parts for new designs or
changes. Created piping,
tubing and hose design and routing. Created P&I drawings and
wiring diagrams.Create and modify assemblies using NX4. Used the
UG-NX Sheet Metal Program forcreating canopies, control boxes,
enclosures, misc. parts, etc. Product Development and Improvement
was my main focus. I was the designer that designed the new
controller box/enclosure for the Compass Controller.

Design EngineerDesigned compressor packages as per the needs of
the clients (2500 - 7000 psi).
* I managed my own projects and performed all necessary designs
by myself.* Hand-drafted a large air-end with great detail the
challenge was not to smearthe lead, so I switched to plastic lead
and I accomplished a very detailed air e
nd drawing without smears.* I also used ink on some large ID
drawings.* Designed a challenging compressor package that fits on
the tailgate of a truck, and received personal accolades from the
client.* Designed a fill panel and fill station, mounted in a fire
truck that is used to fill 10 min breathing air tanks for the
fireman. The manufacturer of the truckpersonally brought the fire
truck by to show engineering how nice the equipmentfit up in the
truck and that they were very satisfied.* In 1990 we started using
a CAD program called ME-10.* I became very proficient with CAD
package.* The compressors are the reciprocating type. We had 3, 4,
& 5 stage air ends.And pressures 2500-7000psi.

Beach, VA (1988)Civil Draftsman* We were designing a highway that
was to be built in the northern part of the Blue Ridge Mountains in
Virginia.* Using inking (drafting ink) a great deal.* We obtained
aerial photo's to pick off buildings that were to be removed.

* Worked on a medical-surgical floor primarily.
* I was team leader with 2-4 nurses and aides working under my
supervision.* I had numerous opportunities to be charge nurse on
the 3-11 shifts, with 4-6 nurses and aides I was in charge of.* I
conducted reports about each patient at end of each shift for the
whole floor when I was in charge.* I gave medications and performed
treatments on all assigned patients.
