Reflecting

Sitting with the seat belt across my lap, grasping the headrest with my sweaty hands, I hear my heartbeat. With an abrupt start, the roller coaster slowly climbs to the peak. At the peak, I scream with my eyes closed and squeeze the headrest to enjoy the thrill and speed of the roller coaster.

I know there are going to be more falls and rises. However, my previous experiences made me realize that no matter how steep the falls and rises are, I will never fall because I was taught to wear a safety belt.
