Procedures for separation: (be very detailed)1. Take out the iron filings with a magnet.

2. Pour the sand and salt in water so that the salt will dissolve. 3. Use a filter to separate the salt water from the sand.

4. Evaporate the water out of the salt water which will leave the salt behind.
