SFC Anthony Gillick hails from Chicago, IL. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp as an Infantry Machine Gunner (0331) in 1998, and operated as a Scout Sniper with 2nd Battalion, 8th Marines, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina throughout his duration in the Marine Corps. SFC Gillick joined the United States Army in 2006 as an Infantryman and was assigned to the 319th Military Intelligence Battalion as a Platoon Sergeant, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He served with A and B Company, 3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division as a Weapons Squad leader and Platoon Sergeant at Fort Hood, Texas, 2008-2013. He served with the 162nd Infantry Brigade as a Senior Observer Controller / Trainer, Fort Polk, Louisiana, 2013-2015. He also served with C Troop, 3rd Brigade, 10th Mountain Division as a Platoon Sergeant, Fort Polk, Louisiana, 2015-2016. In September of 2016, SFC Gillick was assigned to the United States Army Cadet Command as a Military Science Instructor at Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis. SFC Gillick deployed to Greece and Spain in support of NATO exercises “Dynamic Mix 2000 and 2002”. He deployed along with the Navy as a member of the II MEU, throughout Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Deployments also include Kosovo and multiple deployments to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom / Operation Resolute Support, and Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom / Operation New Dawn. SFC Gillick earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from American Military University in 2016. He received his green belt certification in Lean Six Sigma, Design for Six Sigma from the Aveta Business Institute in 2015. Currently he is working towards his Master’s in Business Administration with Texas A&M.
