1)RESERVATION OF POSTS:(i) The posts reserved for backward category will be filled in by the candidates who are domicileof Maharashtra State only.(ii) The reservation for lady candidates, Physically Handicapped candidates and sports candidates

shall be as per Government of Maharashtra rules.(iii) The posts reserved for candidates belonging to VJ, NT-1, NT-2 and NT-3 are mutuallyinterchangeable in case of non-availability of candidate(s) of the mentioned category.

2)QUALIFICATION:The candidates applying for the posts should have the following educational qualifications andexperience as specified in notification of All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi (Pay

Scales Service Conditions and qualifications for the teachers and other Academic Staff in TechnicalInstitutions (Degree) Regulations, 2010, dated 5th March 2010).

PROFESSOR* Essential

B.E./ B. Tech. and M.E./ M.Tech. in relevant branch ( Appendix B ) with First Class OR equivalenteither in B.E./B. Tech. or M.E. / M. Tech., and Ph.D. OR equivalent, in appropriate discipline.Post Ph.D. publications and guiding Ph.D. student is highly desirable.

* Experience

Minimum of 10 years teaching/ research/ industry experience of which at least 5 years should be

at the level of Associate Professor.

OR

Minimum of 13 years experience in teaching and/ or Research and/ or Industry.

In case of research experience, good academic record and books/ research paper publications/

IPR/ patents record shall be required as deemed fit by the expert members of the selectioncommittee.

If the experience in industry is considered the same shall be at managerial level equivalent to

Associate Professor with active participation record in devising/ designing, planning, executing,analyzing, quality control, innovating, training, technical books/ research paper publications/ IPR/patents, etc. as deemed fit by the expert members of the selection committee.

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN MATHEMATICS

* EssentialMasters degree preceded by Bachelors Degree in the relevant branch as mentioned in Appendix-B,with First Class at both the levels and consistently good academic record in the previous years.

*Desirable

i) Ph.D.Degree in the concerned engineering discipline / subject.ii) Teaching /Research/Industrial Experience in the relevant discipline.

iii) Publications record in referred scientific/professional journals.

3)ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATION

* Passing Certificate for any one of the C.C.A or O level or A level or B level or C levelauthorized examination of D.O.E.A.C.C., Society, New Delhi.

OR

* Passing Certificate of MS-CIT Examination of Maharashtra State Technical Education Board,Mumbai-400 001.

Above additional qualification is not necessary for the candidates having Bachelors or MastersDegree in Computer Engineering, Computer Technology, Information Technology and Computer

Application.

4)SALARY

Salary as per Government of Maharashtra rules in the following pay scales plus otheradmissible allowances.

Professor : Rs.37,400 - 67,000 + AGP Rs. 10,000/-Associate Professor : Rs.37,400 - 67,000 + AGP Rs. 9,000/-

Assistant Professor : Rs.15,600 39,100 + AGP Rs. 6,000/-

5)AGE

Unless already in the service of Government / Government Aided Organization orEstablishment, not more than 54 years of age for Professor, not more than 50 years of age forAssociate Professor and not more than 35 years of age for Assistant Professor as on last date ofapplication with relaxation of 5 years for reserved category candidates.

6)IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

i) The institute reserves the right to vary the number of posts and reserved posts.

ii) Selected candidates shall be on probation for a period of two years.

iii) These posts are pensionable as per Resolution of Finance Department, Government ofMaharashtra, Mumbai, G. R. No. CPS-1005/126/SER-4, dated 31st October 2005, Circular No.CPS-1006/87/SER-4, dated 12th January 2007, Circular No. CPS-1009/13/ser 4, dated 24thFebruary 2009 and Circular No. CPS-1009/32/ser 4, dated 16 th July 2009.

iv) Each application submitted should be accompanied by a Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- for

the candidates belonging to Open Category and Rs. 700/- for the candidates belongingto Reserved Category, drawn in favour of Director, SGGSIE&T, Nanded payable atNanded.

v) The candidates who want to apply for more than one post should submit separate applicationsas well as separate demand drafts.

vi) The interview call letters will be posted to the eligible candidates however details regardingSchedule of Interview will be displayed on the website of this institute.

vii) The academic qualification and experience acquired up to last date of submission of applicationwill be taken into account in determining the eligibility of candidates for the posts and for short-

listing them for the interview.

viii) Application must be accompanied by passport size photograph of the candidate along withrelevant documents indicating qualification, age, category, experience, etc. and demand draft;

failing which the application will be treated as incomplete and will be liable to be summarilyrejected.

ix) Last date for submission of application form is 18/02/2013. Applications received after last

date due to any reason including postal delay will not be entertained and responsibility in thisregard will solely rest with the concerned candidate.

x) Candidates must produce all original certificates at the time of interview. No extension of time will

be granted.

xi) No TA/DA will be paid to the candidate for interview.

2. Ph.D. shall be from a recognized University.

3. For a incumbent Assistant Professor, experience at the level of Assistant Professor will be considered

equivalent to experience at the level of Associate Professor, provided the incumbent Assistant Professor

has acquired or acquires Ph.D. Degree in the relevant discipline.

4. If a class / division is not awarded at B.E. / B.Tech / M.E./ M.Tech/ equivalent degree, minimum of

60% marks in aggregate shall be considered equivalent to Ist class / division. If a grade point system is

adopted, the CGPA will be converted to equivalent marks and minimum CGPA shall be 6.75 in the

scale of 10.
