Because we are Sherpa-owned and Sherpa-run, we are very pleased to report that most of our products come directly from Kathmandu. And when we go to our neighbors for help in meeting demand, we always do it with the highest quality control and share the news right on the label.

The first thing a Sherpa packs is mindfulness.

At the start of every journey, we sit quietly and picture the path ahead. Slowly and methodically, we envision the terrain we will encounter and the extremes we will need to endure. This tells us what to packand what we dont need to carry. Weve grouped our garments into four categories. Karma Lifestyle is for casual ease in going about your daily life. Khumbu Trek serves nicely for days of lighter travel. For peak performance, we offer the Parbat Mountain Series and Khangri Alpine Series. Whichever group you go with, we wish you good fortune each step of the way.

A Shining Life.

I was glad to see Lakpa Rita the other day at our flagship building in Nepal. He was on

his way home at the end of a difficult climbing season. There was a deep tiredness in his

eyes and he talked quietly, without fanfare, about the soul battering experience of the

worst avalanche in his career. At 4:30 in the early morning of September 23, the spirit of

Mt. Manaslu had unleashed its fury and 12 climbers died on the slopes of the worlds eighth-

highest mountain. I rounded up our Sherpas and we probed and dug through the snow.

Our goal was to look for those alive that would need our help immediately. The captain of

the helicopter must have made more than 12 flights to carry out the injured. The next day, I

decided that I would not come back to Manaslu again. The icons of the climbing world

honor Lakpa Ritas prowess and achievements. But his acts of quiet compassion define our

chief brand ambassador. I am proud to say that Mr. Lakpa Rita is my friend. And I look

forward to seeing him do his break dance at our Losar (Tibetan New Year) parties again.

Uniquely breathable, with patented Direct Venting Technology that keeps outside water out, while perspiration vapor escapes through microscopic nano-vents.

Uses an ultra thin, air permeable membrane thats highly breathable as well as water and wind resistant. Protects insulation to retain loft and warmth.

Featherweight, yet strong. Windproof, with a silky hand. Holds up to hardcore use. The smallest packing volume of any Pertex material.

Peak performance fabric pulls moisture vapor outeven at extremely low pressureand blocks 99.9% of wind.

Different yarns on either side of the fabric move moisture away from the skin and let it dry quickly. Highly breathable, with UPF 15 protection.

100% polyester shearling velour surface for warmth without bulk. Excellent breathability. Dries quickly to minimize heat loss.

Extremely breathable, with 4 times more wind resistance than traditional fleece. Greatly reduces wind chill. Durable water repellent hardface sheds rain and snow.

Very versatile midlayer. 4-way stretch. Wind and abrasion resistant. Comfortable next to skin. Highly breathable.

POLYESTER:

Quick drying. High strength. Crease and abrasion resistant. Minimum care.

Ultra-fine micro fiber insulation. Soft, breathable, lightweight and warmer wet or dry than all other insulations. Dries faster than goose down.

40 gram for the active user whos moving quickly 60 gram for colder temperatures when user is not

moving as quickly and insulated warmth to the upper body is needed.

100 gram for low temperature and users on belay who arent moving fast enough to stay warm on their own.

RIPSTOP:

Lightweight, crosshatched, rip-resistant nylon with a favorable strength-to-weight ratio. Fabrics include cotton, silk, polyester, and polypropylene.

WOOL:

Legendary for absorbing almost one-third of its own weight in moisture and retaining thermal qualities when wet. Resistant to static. Less likely to cling.

MERINO WOOL:

From one of the worlds most ancient breeds of sheep. Excellent at regulating body temperature. Wicks moisture. Odor resistant. Retains thermal qualities when wet.

VIRGIN WOOL:

Wool spun for the very first timenot used, processed, or woven before.

Sherpa Adventure Gear takes great pride in the quality of its products. Our goal is to make superior gear that honors the legendary Sherpas who have built their reputation on being the toughest high-altitude climbers in the world. Our products are fully warranted against defects in materials and workmanship. If for any reason a product should fail in its function due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair or replace the product at our discretion. Damages caused by accident, negligence, normal wear and tear or the natural deterioration of colors and materials over an extended period are not covered by this warranty. If the original owner wishes to have his product repaired for damages not covered by the warranty, we will do so for a reasonable fee if such repair is possible. Shipping costs will be charged.
