Shutdown SupportMajor maintenance events require not just the supply of good qualityproducts, but also practical supportbefore, during, and after theshutdown.

We have developed a range ofservices, designed to support majorrefinery and process customersduring shutdown periods.

The mobile service unit iswell equipped with a rangeof machines for manufactureand repair/refurbishment of a range of gasket types andstyles.

Soft Cut Gaskets Full range of graphite, CNAF, PTFE basedand Thermiculite sheets are held in stock.We can manufacture IBC and full facedgaskets in a variety of thicknesses andshapes.

We also have an extensive range of toolswhich will enable us to produce a largevariety of designs and sizes, to meet yourheat exchanger requirements.

Kammprofile and MRG GasketsThe mobile service unit has the capabilityto refurbish the soft facings which oftenget damaged during installation. If a newKammprofile or MRG is required ourtechnician can co-ordinate with ourmanufacturing facility for replacements.We can add and remove pass bars to anybar configuration.

Metal Jacketed Gaskets and Ring Type Joints We can co-ordinate these via thetechnician available on site. We are alsoable to identify materials and undertakeinspection and dimensional checks.

OtherFlexitallic has the ability to add othermachinery if required.

Spiral Wound GasketsOur skilled gasket technicians are able to manufacture and repair a wide range of spiral wound gaskets, utilising ourhorizontal and vertical winding machines.

All material specifications will bediscussed with site prior to shutdown to ensure availability of material.

Style “R” We can manufacture 1/8 18mm-350mmand 3/16 18mm-450mm gaskets in a widerange of materials.

Style’s “CG” and “CGI” (Sealing Element, Guide ring +Inner ring)wind sealing element onto rings whichare suitable for re-use (upto 1.8m). If the rings are unable to be reused ourtechnicians will co-ordinate with ourmanufacturing facility for replacements.

Following our pre-assessment of yourrequirements, we would also be able tostock standard guide rings in a range ofmaterials.

Refurbishment of carrier rings can also becarried out on the mobile service unit alongwith replacement of the sealing element.

Welded bars Our technicians are welder approved to BS 4872-1 standard. We can add andremove pass bars to any bar configurationthis includes solid, jacketed and kammpass bars.

The mobile service unit isprovided during shutdownperiods to offer additionalsupport for all gasket relatedissues. The primary purposeis to manufacture andrefurbish a wide range ofgaskets.

In addition to this it is the initial point of contact on site for gasket problems, aninformation source, and actsas a local production facility.

Pressurised GasThe unit is equipped with weldingequipment which utilises a bottled Argonsupply.

Transport Logistics Flexitallic will organise delivery to andfrom site and require sufficient access andspace for a wide load articulated vehicleand a hiab to offload the unit. Liftingeyelets are located at the base of the unittherefore slings will be used formanoeuvring of the unit within health and safety guidelines.

Details of the site co-ordinator should be supplied to Flexitallic as well as anydocumentation. This should be done priorto movement of the unit.

On site location requirements The unit requires a flat, solid surface whenon site. The 4 bolting plates are located ineach base corner of the unit to allow forsecuring to the ground, if required.

Space footprint is dependent on electricalconnections and proximity to other similarunits.

Technical ReferenceThe unit is designed to withstand 100mbafree-field over pressure with 100ms pulseduration. External doors are 4 hour ratedand windows are 1 hour rated also to a100mba.

There is an air conditioning unit mountedto the right hand side of the unit whichrequires clearance.

Access to the unit is from one side only,both the double and single doors openoutwards.

Electricals Power Supply: 63A, 415v 3-phase powersupply with a 5 pin commando socket. All internal sockets comply with BS 60898.PAT Testing certificates are available onrequest.
