SILENT  AUCTION  GUIDELINES

The  Silent  Auction  will  commence  at  5:00  p.m.  and  will  close  at  9:00  p.m.

The  Auction  Committee  reserves  the  right  to  withdraw  any  item  at  any  time  without  notice  before  the  actual  sale.    In  the  event  of  a  dispute,  the  Auction  Committee  shall  act  as  final  authority  in  determining  the  winning  bid.

Closeout  times  will  vary  based  on  section  and  items  must  be  paid  for  at  time  of  section  closeout.    An  announcement  will  be  made  before  each  section  closeout.

“Plumeria”  Section  Closeout  -  7:00  PM

“Orchid”  Section  Closeout  -  8:00  PM

“Hibiscus”  Section  Closeout  -  9:00  PM

At  closing,  if  two  or  more  people  are  bidding  for  the  same  item  the  bid  sheet  will  not  be  picked  up  until  a  final  bidder  is  determined  by  the  assigned  Table  Monitor.

PROCEDURES  FOR  BIDDING

To  place  a  bid,  print  your  name  legibly  with  your  bid  amount  on  the  bid  sheet.    Doing  so  constitutes  a  legal  contract  to  purchase  that  silent  auction  item  at  the  price  you  stated  if  your  bid  is  the  winning  bid.    The  last  (highest)  valid  bid  entered  prior  to  the  section  closing  will  be  the  winning  bid.

A  maximum  guaranteed  bid  (Win  it  Now)  is  stated  on  the  bid  sheets  of  selected  auction  items  chosen  by  the  Auction  Committee.    By  signing  your  name  in  this  box,  the  bidding  closes.

To  increase  your  bid,  you  must  raise  your  bid  by  the  minimum  increment.    No  bids  can  be  less  than  the  bid  on  the  previous  line.

PROCEDURES  AT  CLOSING

You  will  need  to  check  the  section  closeout  poster  (15  minutes  after  the  section  closeout)  to  see  if  you  are  the  winning  bidder.    All  items  must  be  paid  for  at  time  of  section  closeout.

Proceed  to  the  checkout  table  and  your  winnings  will  be  filed.

The  checkout  volunteers  will  total  your  purchases  for  that  closeout  period  and  collect  payment.
