The original idea for the amusement park was to focus on the southern Texas culture and include a variety of entertainment, rides and water features. ADG was enlisted to: Design/ build a new immersive outdoor waterpark enabling future growth with scalable design Complete an additional 5.4-acre planned expansion SOLUTION ADG designed and constructed a Texas-themed waterpark including The Texas Tumble raft ride, multiple open and enclosed tube and body slides for all ages and thrill levels. The original waterpark’s 1,200 sf White Water Canyon adventure river is heavily themed and includes wave channels, white water rapids, waterfalls, grottos, geyser islands and cavernous switchbacks along its journey. Created with future expansion in mind, ADG also completed additional attractions in 1999, including the Texas Treehouse, a 4,000 sq/ft multi- level children’s play area, and the Lone Star Lagoon - a massive WaveTek® wave pool that is shaped like the state of Texas. It is surrounded by an extensive array of artificial rockwork as well as natural rock. A cascading waterfall designed to gently fall into the pool. Ten various waterslides including a 4-man funnel raft ride completes the waterpark. RESULT With more than 60 amazing rides, slides, shows and attractions, Fiesta Texas has been a favorite family destination since 1992. Part of the Six Flags group, Fiesta Texas attracts thousands of visitors every year for its exciting combination of thrills, spills and splashes for kids of all ages.
