Morzine a French Alpine town steeped in history and tradition and offering plenty

of crisp fresh mountain air warmed by a typical Savoyard welcome. With genuine

charm and outstanding natural beauty in abundance, Morzine is a year round

holiday destination but during the Winter season (from mid-December to the

end of April) it enjoys exceptionally good snowfall.

Since the introduction of Frances first Ski Lift at the Pleney in 1934 The Portes du Soleil ski

area which incorporates Morzine has grown to become one of the best loved destinations

in France. Today the total combined ski zone comprises of over 650km of piste spanning 2

countries and over 200 ski lifts. Every level of skier and snowboarder is catered for because

there is so much choice. From leisurely cross country runs, to extreme blacks or high flying

board parks Morzine has something for everyone to enjoy!

Located on the mountain 1550 metres high, you might be forgiven for

thinking that aprés ski could be a little limited. Not with Ski Chamois! We

host regular discos, quiz nights, games nights and a Happy Hour (between

4.30 and 6.30pm) in our own reasonably priced Inferno bar and restaurant.

During the summer months (June – September), Hotel Les Chamois

makes an ideal base from which to explore some dramatic alpine scenery.

Your vacation can be as relaxed or as adventurous as you like.

There are many excellent outdoor pursuits available in the region, some definitely not

for the faint hearted! In stark contrast you could choose to simply soak up the sun on the

terrace listening to the cowbells and the whistling of the marmottes.

There are many places of interest near by which are perfect for visiting during the

summer months such as Geneva (85mins), Lake Leman (45mins), Montreux (90mins),

Chamonix (70mins) and Annecy (90mins). It is advisable to have your own transport.
