Skyward Standards Gradebook: Kindergarten & 1st Grade

Logging in/General Information

• Log in to Skyward Educator Access

• Click My Gradebook

• Click Standards Gradebook

The Standards gradebook is set up with different categories and skills.

The first time you open the gradebook, each category will be expanded so you can see each skill.

You can close or expand a category by clicking the small button on the category heading.

Entering Scores

Scores can be entered by skill (two different ways) or by student.

Entering Scores by Skill

• Double click on the skill column header

• Use the Mass Assign to apply a specific score for

all students in the class (you can go back and

change specific students later), OR

• Enter individual student scores

• Save

Quick Scoring (by Skill)

• From the gradebook, click the Quick Score tab

• In Quick Scoring, you can use

the Tab key on your keybaord

to move across a row or use

the Enter key on your

keyboard to move down a

column as you enter scores.

Enter Scores for Skills

(by Student)

• From the Gradebook screen, click on

the first student’s name

• You will see an overview of all the

categories and skills.

• To enter scores, click Enter Scores for

Skills button

• Enter Scores for the individual skills

• Save (top of screen)

• To go to next student, click Back button

• Use the drop down menu to move to

the next student

*When using this method of scoring during the 2nd

, 3rd

, and 4th

grading quarters, it will be extremely helpful to

have the previous grading periods visible. This way you can see the students’ previous scores.

• On the Main Screen of the gradebook, Display Options > Grade Period Display

• The current grading period will always be displayed, but it will be helpful if you also set it to display all

PREVIOUS grading periods.
