Good Morning Everyone,

Welcome to the first ELTEP webinar session for Summer, 2011. If you

are reading this slide, you have successfully joined the webinar.

Congratulations! Today’s session will begin with an overview of the webinar

technology and some quick practice with the webinar tools.

To get started, please locate the chat box toward the lower right hand

corner of your screen, type in your name where it says “Type message here”

and then click send (only we will see your name). This will let us know that

you are able to see our screen.

We will begin at 9 a.m.

Directions for Viewing the Videos

• After joining a webinar, go to the Materials Box and open the Video Link for that session. If there is more than one link, your registration email should have indicated which topic we will be covering first.

• Once the link is open, you should see the topic name on the screen. Click the play/pause button to begin loading the recording, then pause the recording when the screen changes to the title of the first video clip. Leave the video link open throughout the webinar.

• During the webinar, the presenter will indicate when it is time to view a video. Each time, return to the open video link and click play; the correct video clip should begin to play within a few seconds.

• When the clip has finished playing, the title of the next clip will appear. Pause the recording at this point and return to the webinar.

• You can use the icon in the lower right corner of the video viewer to switch into full screen mode.

• NOTE: On some computers you will need to exit full screen mode to return to the webinar.

These directions are included as a separate handout in your materials

box.

Procedures for the Webinars

• Each 3 hour webinar will be divided into 2 sessions

– 1a, 1b; 2a,2b; etc.

• Registration for future webinars will be completed through

the ELTEP website.

• Once you register for a webinar, you will receive a

confirmation email. You will also receive reminder emails 24

hours and 1 hour in advance of the start time.

• Any materials for the webinar will be available at least 24

hours in advance. The reminder email will prompt you to view

the materials.

• Links to any video clips for the session will also be posted in

the materials box shortly before the session begins.
