  • Objective of this course

    The main health hazards in tunnelling are exposure to dust,

    toxic gases, noise, vibration, heat and humidity, manual

    handling, and other hazardous materials .

    Risk & hazards when working with TBM or compressed air

    environment, know the preventive measures to be adopted,

    confident when working at shaft bottom or cut & cover

    project and understand the importance of observing safety

    Tunnel workers must attend & listen to daily tool box meeting that conduct by your foreman or WSH supervisor .

    Workers are advised to raise questions, if you have any doubt in the jobin the job

    You are also been advised to share good ideas on safe work practice during this short & meaningful tool box meeting.

    All personnel including visitor must register at the board before going down to the shaft or tunnel.

    They must register OUT after leaving the tunnel or even to the toilet for the tunnel or even to the toilet for 5mins

    The system is very simple :

    Tag (white) mean OUT

    Tag (red) mean INSIDE

  • Tally board system

    The tally board system is a very important vital information to site management, fire & rescue or Civil defense and WSH dept.

    The system must be accurate at all times.

    In-case of a natural disaster or fire, the tally board will be able to advise us the correct number of advise us the correct number of person in the tunnel.
