Solution Architect – AWS

Informa Business Intelligence (BI), part of the FTSE 100 Informa Group, is currently looking to recruit an accredited AWS Solutions Architect to join our London office. You will be responsible for facilitating the smooth deployment of AWS infrastructure across the whole of BI, ensuring the smooth migration of applications and to assist with the design of dynamic, scalable and secure applications on AWS. Working closely with the Heads of Technology Delivery across BI, Informa Group and our vendor suppliers you will ensure consistency, quality and standards as well as a cost effective strategy. Key responsibilities include:

Assist in the design and implementation of AWS solutions across BI with internal and external teams ensuring business value is delivered

Deliver a cost effective strategy and use of resources Provide technical oversight, review and quality control of infrastructure and application

deployment, as well approval of deliverables Contribute to the development of AWS standards, best practice and organisational capability Effectively communicate technical architectural standards and roadmaps to stakeholders

and project teams Key Requirements:

AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional Extensive IT operations and/or development experience using AWS and expert knowledge of

AWS platform features and capabilities Demonstrable experience of deploying AWS web based applications and systems in a

B2B/B2C or similar environment using infrastructure as code methodology Demonstrable experience of automation of application code deployment pipelines Excellent communicator with the ability to build strong relationships across the business Comfortable creating architecture & design diagrams Broad application lifecycle management experience, preferably in software development or

internet industry Knowledge of a broad range of application and infrastructure technologies including: Team

City; Jenkins, Packer, Terraform, Ansible, Jira, Github, Elk, CloudWatch Hands on experience with both Windows and Linux Ability to work as part of a team and provide expert guidance where necessary

Desirable skills/experience:

Working knowledge of ElasticSearch and RabbitMQ

Experience and/or willingness to learn principles and techniques of Cloud Native (microservices/BDD, containers/Dockers, Agile, BDD) and DevOps (CI/CD)

Experience with Agile methodologies

Technical / Science degree or equivalent
