Listening to the final master of thisChoir of Hard Knocks CD, it is hard toimagine this is the same Choir that Icreated just a little over 12 monthsago, and even harder to believe howmuch joy and inspiration the Choir of Hard Knocks has brought to thenation with their sheer courage and determination!

Now with an ARIA Award for BestSoundtrack Album under their belt,along with sellout concerts at theSydney Opera House and MelbourneTown Hall, as well as dozens ofcorporate and communityperformances, the Choir members’commitment to their music makingand to the development of theirperformance skills in the past sixmonths has been extraordinary. Thissecond CD proves that all their hardwork is paying off – and the pride intheir achievements is even greater still.

I am delighted that in this album weare able to showcase even more of theextraordinary talent that lies withinthe ensemble of the Choir – some ofthe members have been with us sinceday one and some are new memberswho have joined us in only the pastfew months.

We are also thrilled that we have someof our dearest friends and supporters– our Patron Jimmy Barnes, DeborahCheetham, Karen Knowles and TimMcCallum, who have all agreed toperform with us on this our secondCD. These artists have made such awonderful contribution to the Choir,sharing their talents and friendshipboth off-stage and on.

I would particularly like to thankStephen Blackburn, with whom I havehad the honour of collaborating inthe past year during rehearsals and in
