Problem: A food manufacturing customer was looking to eliminate wood pallets which could potentially harbor pathogens and create cross-contamination issues inside their facilities.

Solution: FirmaMax 100% recycled plastic pallet design

New pallets are sanitized to safeguard the integrity of their products

Pallets are used once and returned to Sonoco where we regrind and recycle the resin to make new pallets

Results: Customer pays in the $19 range for new pallets. Sonoco then buys back in the $6 range, which makes the $13 FirmaMax cost competitive to new wood pallets.
