    SPECIAL CONTRACTOR'S DESIGNDED ALUMINIUM GLAZING SYSTEM Notes

    Prices for Aluminium glazing system (curtain walling, window, door and the like) shall include for the complete installation including all supports, fixing accessories, matching hardware, ironmongeries, sub-frame, glass, louvre, glazing beads, gaskets, silicon, expansion and other joints, fixing back to structure. The Tenderer's design submission must be complete with full specification, type of Aluminium glazing system, thickness and type of glass, thickness of frame, specification for powder coating, drawings for extrusion section, and all necessary details to fulfill the tender.

    Prices for Aluminium glazing system work shall include for all necessary design work, mock ups, wind load testing and structural integrity testing and Professional Engineer's calculations and endorsement, obtaining all necessary approvals and associated associated cost there of, preparation of shop drawings and subsequent submittal to Architect for approval. No work shall start on site unless the above requirement of wind load testing and structural integrity testing and Professional Engineer's calculations and endorsement have been approved by the Architect/Structural Engineer. Shop drawings submitted by the Contractor for approval must show location, type and size of supporting framework and must clearly indicate method of fixing of supports shown on the Architect's drawings which are indicative only and have no design intent. Shop drawings must be approved by the Architect before commencement of work on site.

    The tenderer shall be required to carry out a sample mock-up of Aluminium glazing system at site before acceptance of tender by the Employer. This shall facilitate the Employer for selection of the curtain walling. The tenderer shall bear all cost to comply with this mock-up requirement including the cost of subsequent removal of mock-up from site if the tender is not successful.
