Normalmente sentimos temor al hablar en público o usar la lengua

extranjera. Esta actividad tiene como propósito motivar la práctica

del habilidades de speaking en la lengua extranjera. Este ejercicio

además contribuirá a la comprensión y aprendizaje de los

contenidos estudiados en las unidades (1) y (2). Asimismo, servirá

para aclarar muchas dudas al tratar de escribir un mensaje, una

oración o comunicar ideas en la lengua extranjera.

Por esta razón, invito a todos los estudiantes de Pre-Intermediate

English 1 a desarrollar estas actividades, practicar durante su

elaboración y enviarlos al aula virtual, de acuerdo con los

parámetros establecidos. Es una oportunidad para el aprendizaje

de la lengua extranjera.

Objectives

• To speak about your personal information and things in

common with your friends.

• To describe your family, work, university and town.

• To describe your hobbies, interests and preferences, (likes and

dislikes).

¿Cómo elaborar la actividad de speaking?

Revise your course-book, Touchstone 2A to study information about:

Making Friends on (p. 3,4 and 5) and interests, 13, 14,15 and 16.

A. Study about hobbies and preferences on (p. 13, 14 and 17).

B. Prepare the speaking exercise: Identify new vocabulary on (p. 10

and 20); conversation strategies on (p. 6, 7, 16 and 17).

C. Use the voice recorder of your phone or computer to practice a

natural and spontaneous presentation. (Practicar varias veces

ayuda a tener más confianza al hablar).

D. RECOMMENDATIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

• No se debe memorizar, ni leer la información. Es necesario

seguir estas recomendaciones, ya que se evaluará el uso

espontáneo y natural de la lengua extranjera. Se debe

incluir el vocabulario y las estrategias de conversación

estudiadas en las unidades (1) y (2).

For the activity of writing:

A. Use the sentences, expressions and vocabulary that you studied

in Units (1) and (2). (Revisar diapositiva anterior para ubicar páginas

del libro).

B. Write and practice: Elabore la descripción de su presentación.

Write about your personal information, hobbies, interests and

preferences.

C. Antes de enviar la actividad elabore un borrador (draft) para su

revisión y edición final.

D. RECOMMENDATIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES• Elaborar el ejercicio de forma individual. Si hay preguntas, por favor

comunicarlas a la docente nacional y/o el docente regional.

• No se debe usar traductor, tampoco copiar el texto de internet o de

otros recursos. Esto lleva a que se anule la actividad.

• Recuerde que el desarrollo de este ejercicio es fundamental para el

avance en el aprendizaje de la lengua extranjera.

EVALUATION OF SPEAKING AND WRITING ACTIVITIES

Speaking:

Minimum (one minute) video recording or maximum (a two-

minute-video recording) for speaking about: Personal information,

things in common with your friends, hobbies, interests,

preferences.

Conversation Strategies: Revise p. 6, 7, 16 and 17.

Natural and spontaneous communication.

Submit (enviar) the speaking activity to the link in the virtual room.

Revise the timetable: The deadline (fecha límite) on February

28th.


Writing:

A ten-line message describing: Personal information, things in

common with your friends, hobbies, interests, preferences.

Connect sentences and punctuation marks(p.19):

My names is…I live with my family. They are….My

best friends are… We have things in common, for

example…

“I listen to music, and I like movies. I also likebooks, especially children’s books. I don’t like jazz

or rock music. I like climbing, but friends don’t. I

enjoy going to concerts because I’m a music

lover. I hate watching reality shows on T.V.
