Dinshah P. Ghadiali

Dinshah P. Ghadiali (1873 – 1966) invented this therapeutic system in 1897

Spectro-Chrome is a SYSTEMIC CHROMOTHERAPY

Systemic means that large skin areas (not necessarily the eyes) are tonated with standardized colors

Chromotherapy is the medical description for the treatment with colored light

Synthesis from Newton and Goethe

Dinshahs predecessors were:Pleasonton, Pancoast and Babbitt

✴ In 1897, still practicing in India, Dinshah saved the life of this young lady, who suffered from a severe, lifethreatening enteric infection.

✴ He used a kerosene lamp and an indigo-tinted glass filter made from a bottle for tonating the patient´s body.

✴ He also administered indigo-tonated milk.

Spectro-Chrome Color Properties

20

The Spectro-Chrome Colors are produced by using an incandescent lamp and specific filters according to the definitions from the Dinshah Health Society. These therapeutic colors are highly saturated, which is important to achieve maximum efficiency.

Spectro-Chrome-Colors are polychromatic, not monochromatic!

Saturated colors have opposite characteristics compared to the non-saturated ones.

Examples, see also next slide:

•Blue sky light or fluorescent light is activating, dark blue colors are calming.

•Saturated red is a stimulant, but light red or pink color on prison walls have calming effects on the inhabitants

Why Do We Need Spectro-Chrome?

• The Goethe Colour system is only applicable to the EYE with it´s specific anatomy and physiology

• Outside the EYE there is no colour, but wavelength

• Color results from cooperation of retina and brain

• Electromagnetic waves show different primary effects on cellular level

• Color impression is a secondary effect

• Spectro-Chrome not only acts via the eye, but also on the cellular level

• Regulate the blood pressure by defining the ratio of

• Sympathetic NS – Parasympathetic NS

• Used as well in case of emotional disorders

CIRCULATORY – PURPLE 1 – CIRCULATORY

• Kidney and adrenal depressant, area #18.• Decreases sensitivity to pain. Induces relaxation and

sleep (soporific).• Increases functional activity of the veins.• Lowers blood pressure by three effects: • Dilates blood vessels (vasodilator).• Reduces heart rate, areas #4-5.• Decreases activity of the kidneys and adrenals, area #18;

and the chromaffin system, systemic front and back

CIRCULATORY – PURPLE 2 – CIRCULATORY

• Lowers body temperature.• Controls fever and high blood pressure in malaria and

recurrent fevers (antimalarial).• Emotional and reproductive system depressant. Builds

sex powers by decreasing sensitivity and desire when excessive (anaphrodisiac).

• Moderates blood pressure between heart and lungs, areas #4-5. Controls lung hemorrhages; some cases respond better to Magenta or Scarlet (use heart/respiration ratio as a guide, see chapter five, Technique). When in doubt, try Purple first. The foregoing approach also applies to cases of dry coughing (non-productive of phlegm).
