Teacher Instruction Sheet
Sport Unloaded!
Learning Objectives Students will work collaboratively to
deconstruct a team sport they identify with to demonstrate a
comprehensive understanding of its rules, positions, techniques
and game play. Students will provide a summative demonstration of
their understanding of their chosen sport through the
submission of an iMovie presentation.
Equipment required: iPad with iMovie application ($6.49 from
Apple iStore) Various sports equipment student choice dependent on
sport chosen. QR Code sheets attached.
iPad Applications/Utilities Used: Notes Camera iMovie Scan (free
from Apple iStore)
Teacher Instructions: Students will work in groups of 3-4 and
share an iPad between them. Groups will be asked to choose a sport
they are familiar with and have the ability to deconstruct using
their own
understanding and that they can find through research. Groups
should ensure that the sporting equipment theyrequire is locatable
in the school equipment shed, and that the sport they have chosen
is team based in nature.
Groups will have 1-1 periods to complete this task. Groups will
move around the gym and scan the QR code using the Scan
application, which will give them the

Learning Objectives Your task is to choose a team sport of your
choice and unpack it to show a comprehensi ve understanding of it
in
a range of key areas. By the end of the period you will have
used four (4) applications on the iPads to build an iMovie
presentation of
your understanding to submit to your teacher.
Instructions Located in six (6) areas of the gym are QR (quick
response) codes that each have a taskallocated to them.
Your groups task is to complete all six (6) tasks by the end of
the allocated time period andsubmit a iMovie presentation for
marking by your classroom teacher.
Start the activity by opening up the Scan application (see logo
above), and scanning the QRcode under each of the task numbers.
