System Requirements & Instructions
• Supported Operating Systems: Windows 2000 Service Pack 4; Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1; Windows XP Service Pack 2• Computer with Intel or compatible Pentium III 600 MHz or faster processor (1 GHz or faster is recommended.)• Minimum of 192 MB of RAM (512 MB or more is recommended.)• 525 MB of available hard disk space•

Note: You must have administrative rights on the computer to install SQL Server Express.
Step 1: Download and install Windows Installer 3.1.
Step 2: For 32-bit platforms, download and install the 32-bit version of Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. For 64-bit platforms (x64 and EMT64 only), download and install the 64-bit version of Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.
Step 3: Download SQL Server Express by clicking the SQLExpr.exe link later on this page. To start the installation immediately, click Run. To install SQL Server Express at a later time, click Save. SQLExpr.exe is a self-extracting installation package of SQL Server Express.
Step 4: Follow the installation instructions provided in the Readme.
Put the SQL Server 2005 CD/DVD on your CD/DVD drive and start
Installation.
Step 2 : Now the installation will check for the pre-requisites
Next step is the System configuration Check
Once these validations are over, it will start installation

Once the configuration check is complete, the actual Installation starts
Click Advanced ! Or uncheck the “hide advanced configuration options”
Now you need to select the components to install
We need SQL Database Server , Client Components .(screens for sql 2005 express Edition & Sql server 2005 Edition)
Here comes the most Important part of the setup .
Once you click ‘next’, it will ask for whether to install SQL as a Default Instance or as a Named Instance . As you can see in the following diagram, I have chosen a named instance DCDATA

The next screen prompts you to select service account details , You have to select local system account .
Authentication Mode : Mixed mode password “sql”
You Select Greek , Accent Sensitive , Should be already marked .
Installation Complete .

Login with DCDATA instance with windows authentication
Security-Logins–sa screen
We delete everything and clear the “Enforce Password Policy”
Click Ok and yes on the Notification pop up window to confirm changes
Go to System Databases – Model , right click and choose Properties
Change the compatibility level to [Sql2000(80)] in order to be able to create new company
