Ed. Note: St. Joseph’s celebrates the 20th Anniversary of Perpetu-al Adoration on Sunday, December 8th.

St. Joseph’s Parish Community is blessed to have a 24/6 Eucharistic Adoration chapel. Please do not take this blessing for granted. Jesus asks for so little......Yet, He gives so much! Come and spend time with our Lord........He is longing for your company!

Eucharistic Adoration is the practice of worshipping/praying before Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament exposed in a monstrance on an altar. It involves the contemplation of the Mystery of Christ truly present before us. We remain silent in His Presence and open ourselves to His Graces which fl ow from the Eucharist. Day and night Jesus dwells in the Blessed Sacrament because of His Infi nite love for us! If the Pope himself would give you a special invitation to visit him in the Vatican, this honor would be nothing in com-parison to the honor that Jesus himself bestows upon you with the invitation of visiting Him in the Blessed Sacrament. Jesus remains hidden to us in the Blessed Sacrament under the appearance of bread, because He is calling us to faith, that we may come to Him in humility. “Of all devotions, that of adoring Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is the greatest after the Sacraments, the one dearest to God and the one most helpful to us.” St. Alphonsus Liguori The Church and the world have a great need for Eucharistic worship. Jesus awaits us in this sacrament of love. Let us not refuse the time to go to meet Him in adoration, in con-

templation full of faith, and open to making amends for the serious off enses and crimes of the world. Let our adoration never cease (Catechism Catholic Church; 1380). Let us love being with the Lord. There we can speak with Him about everything!

When Mother Teresa was asked, “What would save the world?” She replied,

“My answer is prayer. What we need is for every parish to come before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament in holy hours of prayer.” - By Julie Holser
