HKS SUPER SQVIII Imitation

■ Appearance

There is no major difference. The paint of the imitation is poor and dark. There is a line on the funnel part of the imitation.

■■■■HKS Emblem

The imitation’s HKS emblem does not have “R” mark, and the quality of the emblem is poor.

■■■■HKS Round Emblem on the Upper Part

The quality of imitation’s emblem is very poor; most of the logo is not clear.

The imitation’s emblem is plated over surface; it does not have hairline process or hologram.

●Kit Parts

The instruction manual included in the imitation is not printed, but copied. Also, the imitation includes an

installation flange pipe. T-fittings are not included, and only 2 tie wraps are included.

The C-ring included in the imitation is made of steel. The C-ring included in the real SQV3 is made of

SUS.

■■■■When the Primary Valve is Opened.

The primary valve of the imitation has a thicker silicone sealing; therefore the primary valve stroke

becomes insufficient to operate properly. HKS Approx.2mm, Imitation Approx.1mm

The imitation uses low heat resistant Nylon material for the resin part, which may cause trouble/problem.

The imitation does not use a durable bushing which may cause a durability problem.

■■■■Stem Seal

The imitation’s stem seal force fits roughly so the shaft cannot move smoothly, which may cause failure.

■■■■Spring Seat & Diaphragm

The spring seat included in the imitation is made of steel. The spring seat included in the real SQV3 is

made of SUS. The material and shape of the diaphragm included in the imitation are not durable enough for high

performance use.

■■■■Packing

HKS SUPER SQVⅢ The SQV3 unit is packed in a small box with a label the lot number is on, and other

components are packed in a plastic bag so the components and SQV3 unit do not come in contact with

each other. Imitation The SQV3 unit is packed in a plastic bag, and the plastic bag is put in a box with other

components in another plastic bag. To prevent parts from coming in contact with each other, there is a

paper included as a cushion.

When the imitation’s package is seen under the light, paper pattern on surface can be noticeable. (See

the diagram on top.)

The gradation of the imitation’s logo is different from the real SQV3 package. The text font on the back of the package is different from the real SQV3 package. The imitation’s font is

slightly thick therefore the sentences layout is also slightly different. (See the diagram below.)
