Mass Intentions

PALM SUNDAY CRAFTS - Join us after the 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM Masses on Palm Sunday for a special craft session! Learn how to make two kinds of palm crosses and we will also be making "tomb treats"... you won't want to miss this one!

“Hosanna to the Son of David: blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord: hosanna in the highest.” And when he entered Jerusalem the whole city was shaken and asked, “Who is this?” And the crowds replied. “This is Jesus the prophet, from Nazareth in Galilee.” - Mt 21:9-11

You'll feel the influence of popular music as well as world or ethnic music. The pieces make more demands on the singers. Many are divided into multi-ple parts, well beyond the "standard" SATB (soprano, alto, tenor, bass). The gospel pieces and spirituals are over the top with their frenetic energy. But for all its complexity, the music is accessible to the listener, promoting a sincere emotion from both the singer and the listener. So, sit back and enjoy our selections. Revel in the fact that this voice is ours. This is music created for and by our generation.

"Can You Spend One Hour with Me?"

Holy Thursday, after the 8:00 PM Mass of the Lord's Supper

For your comfort & convenience, members of the Saint Bonaventure Knights of Columbus will remain at Adoration immediately following the Mass of the Lord's Supper on Holy Thursday until Night Prayer at 11:00 PM. The Knights cordially invite you to spend some time with them in prayer at the Altar of Reposition that will be located in the chapel.

Holy Thursday is more than just the lead-in to Good Friday; it is, in fact, the oldest of the celebrations

of Holy Week, and with good reason: Holy Thursday is the day we commemorate the institution of three pillars of the Catholic faith: the Sacrament of Holy Communion, the priest-hood, and the Mass. Holy Thursday is the day on which Christ celebrated the Last Supper with His disciples, four days after His triumphal entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. Only hours after the Last Supper, Judas would betray Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane, setting the stage for Christ's Crucifixion on Good Friday.
