FROM THE DESK OF FR. FALLON Hey Everyone, I can't tell you how stoked I am for the Fall Festival. (Yes, stoked. I'm a millennial). It's been great hearing people talk about how fun this event has been in the past. I'm hoping this can be one to make people talk about for some time! Do the parish a favor: all those people who used to come to Fall Festival, who used to be a part of the community: invite them back! Because it's simple evangelization, really. If someone comes down memory lane and has a nostalgic night at St. E's, maybe they'll come back when they're aren't pulled pork and pull tabs. Maybe they'll see something about this place they wish they had, something life-changing… Maybe they'll see Jesus in us. Isn't that what we're all about? Special thanks go out to Ted Michel, Dave Renard and the men of the parish who came out for an awesome men's event on Wednesday. No, we didn't solve all the problems, nor did we learn how to ask for directions. But we did have a good time meeting each other and building community. Again, isn't that what we're all about? Prayers for a Blessed Week. See you at the Fall Festival!

“News Around Town” BIRTHRIGHT CARD and GAME PARTY

Wednesday October 25th The Friends of Birthright will be hosting their annual Fall Card and Game Party on Wednesday, October 25th at Westborough Country Club. Play bridge, mah jongg, a game of your choice, or just come for lunch. Enjoy a fun day with friends and help save a baby’s life! You may even win one of the fabulous raffle prizes. The cost for the event is $45. Reservations requested by October 18th. Contact Wendy Boveri at 314-706-5210 for ticket information or to make a donation. Which Is An Accurate Description: “Pro-Life” or “Pro-Choice”? “Pro-Life” is an accurate description because proponents of this position wish to preserve all life, including the life of the most defenseless in our society, the unborn baby. “Pro-Choice” is misleading because proponents of this position never offer a choice to the unborn baby and frequently never consult the baby’s father. It may be the “choice” of the mother who in may instances is feeling desperate and not properly informed. It may also be the business “choice” of the for-profit abortion clinic and the fee-for-service abortionist. However, “pro-death” would be a more accurate description for the “pro-choice” position because an abortion always results in the death of an unborn baby. In an attempt to make abortion more palatable and acceptable, abortion proponents speak of and defend what they refer to as “reproductive rights”. Again, such terminology is deliberately misleading because an abortion has nothing to do with reproduction. In fact an abortion is the exact opposite of reproduction. Furthermore, the unborn baby is stripped of all “rights”, so again, the description is blatantly inappropriate.

A SPECIAL THANK YOU! to Sue and Tom Brehmer, Roseann Shannon, Scott Rachelski, Jesse and Bernard DeCoster, John Clarey and Fr. Fallon for making and displaying the crosses on our lawn. These 144 pink and blue crosses represent the 144 abortions performed every hour in the U.S. The Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion in 1973 has wounded our conscience, our society, our economy, and our definition as a civilized nation. Our Cross display is a humble and profound statement to the thousands in our community who pass St. Elizabeth Church that we stand for life. My deep-est gratitude to all who helped. Beautiful job, well done. God Bless each of you. Jean Flanagan
