Page Three St. Margaret Mary Parish February 19, 2017 A Note from the Administrator… Una nota del Administrador...

Hello everyone

asciende a $ 3 millones.

Veremos si Dios nos abre esta puerta.

Paz, todo bien! P. Mike

There is progress on our plans to renovate St. Margaret Mary church, redo our parking and landscaping, improve

bathrooms and create a more welcoming and secure entrance for our school (and give an honest tithe to charities)!

This week I go to our diocesan Pastoral Office for two very important meetings:

1) With liturgists to make sure our plans for the church interior are in accord with current church guidelines

2) With the building committee to make sure our plans are architecturally sound and financially feasible.

I am not too nervous about it. Our liturgy committee read the church documents carefully and worked for hours with

an experienced respected church architect. In addition, the feasibility study we completed at the end of last year

(remember the questionnaires and interviews?) showed conclusively we are easily able to raise at least $3 ½ million

dollars over the next five years. Finally, initial estimated cost of the church, parking lot, landscaping, bathroom and

school entrance part hovers at $3 million.

We’ll see if God opens this door for us.

Peace, All Good! Fr. Mike

Hello All!

We are looking for volunteers and donations for the

2017 Festival from the parish. Please remember –

this great event is a parish event! To continue the

success of the event, we would love to have more

involvement from parishioners like yourselves.

Special thanks to great individual volunteers from

last year: John and MaryBeth McCormack, Martha

and Oscar Rivera, Kathleen Partida, Jeanette

Sandoval, and Maxine Schack, as well as our

ministries.

Also – we need glasses for the Dime Pitch booth as

well as any items that can be donated for the Auction

Booth. This is a great opportunity to anyone who

would like to take part as an volunteer or a leader for

the Festival that will take place on the first weekend

in June. Please contact Tim Turner at 858-242-2499

or Allison Ferrendelli at [email protected].

We are looking for people specifically in the areas

the sponsorship team, operations, scheduling, secu-

rity, raffles, and scheduling.

Thank you and God Bless!

Women of the Parish -- El Carmelo Retreat House, in Redlands, will be hosting a weekend retreat for women, March 17-19. The retreat house is owned and operated by the Carmelite Friars and is located on 29 acres overlook-ing the San Bernardino mountains. The hospitality is ex-cellent and the retreat offers an opportunity to discern, strengthen and renew your personal relationship with Jesus Christ, according to Carmelite tradition. For registration information, please contact Christina Moore at 909/920-9425. You can also email Christina at [email protected].
