FAST AND ABSTINENCE FROM MEAT
On Good Friday, all Catholics 14 years of age
and older are asked to abstain from eating meat and those be-
tween 18 and 59 are asked to fast (taking no more than one full
meal; two smaller meals are permitted in order to maintain
strength). This should be seen as a joyful act of anticipation as
we look forward to the celebration of Easter.

Together We Serve is one way we can collectively live the Word of God. To-gether we can bring the Gospel message to those on the peripheries, through our gifts to Catholic Social Services, Development & Peace, Evangelization of Nations, Needs of the Church in the Holy Land, our northern twin diocese and the Pope’s Pastoral Works. Together we can also serve those who answer the
call to ministry, those who are the voice of the Church in our Canadian society, and those who have dedicated their lives to the service of others, through our support of St. Joseph Seminary, St. Joseph’s College, Newman Theological College, the Needs of the Canadian Church, and the Priests’ Foundation of Edmonton. Thank you.
