Rite of Christian Initiation of Children (RCIC) 2017-2018 This program is designed for all children from grades 2-6 who desire to receive the Catholic Sacraments they have missed and for any children who wish to be fully initiated into the Catholic Church. Sessions will take place bi-weekly on the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays, from 7-9pm at St. James Church. Please contact the Parish Office for more information at 403-938-3122.
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) 2017-2018 Registration is ongoing for all those interested in learning more about the Catholic Faith. Inquirers are instructed in the Catholic Faith and introduced to the life of the Church. The sessions are Tuesdays from 7-9pm at St. James Church. For more information please call the Parish Office at 403-938-3122.
BAPTISM PREPARATION Registration takes place at the Parish Office before the session. A Baptism Preparation session is required for the baptism of your first child. (Baptisms take place the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month after the 11am mass in Okotoks, and at the 9am mass in Black Diamond. *Saturday @ 5:30pm also available.
Cost is $20.00.

MARRIAGE PREPARATION Phone the Parish Office at least 6 months before marriage and make an appointment. Marriage preparation sessions are mandatory for those preparing for marriage. Sessions run Friday @ 7-9pm and continue Saturday @ 9am-4pm on the following dates:

2018 DEVELOPMENT AND PEACE SHARE LENT CAMPAIGN WORKSHOP – JAN 27 "Together for Peace" is the theme for Share Lent 2018. Come and hear about our partners and the impact of their programs in building peace. Learn about the resources that help us to spread the message of Jesus Christ and "be artisans of peace locally and globally". The workshop will be at Holy Spirit Parish, 10827 24 St. SW - Office door entrance - on Saturday, January 27, 2018, 10 am – 3 pm. All are welcome. Lunch will be potluck. TRANSITIONS Transitions is a 15-week peer support program for those recently separated or divorced. Participants will meet every week to reflect upon and discuss topics such as self-esteem, stress, anger, guilt, blame, loneliness, forgiveness, blended families and more. EFFECTIVE CO-PARENTING: PUTTING KIDS FIRST 'Effective Co-Parenting: Putting Kids First' is an educational 5-week program for separated and divorced parents to help raise their children through this difficult time and increase the understanding of needs of children for developing self-esteem and security. COLDEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR It's our fifth birthday! Coldest Night of the Year - Calgary will turn five this February 24, 2018. BUILDING SACRED BRIDGES CONCERT The 2nd annual interfaith music event - Building Sacred Bridges - will be held on February 10, and 11, 2018 at Knox United Church and Beth Tzedec Synagogue respectively. The concert will feature music groups and choirs from various faith groups, including the Adorare Choral Ensemble and St. Bonaventure Choir. The event is meant to raise awareness about the lack of affordable housing in Southern Alberta and offers the opportunity to learn more about the Habitat Interfaith Build Project. PROJECT RACHEL POST ABORTION WEEKEND RETREAT The retreat offers a journey of healing and reconciliation for women and men who are suffering from a past abortion experience.
