House Rules/FAQ:Objective Placement: If placed in a ruin, objectives must be placed on the ground level. Objectives may not be placed inside or on top of a building. If scenario rules call for an objective to be placed in a location where these rules prevent placement, displace the objective the minimum amount necessary in a manner that does not favor either player. If players cannot agree on a placement, consult the TO. Objective Control and Contesting: Units can only control or contest objectives if they have one or more models on the same level as the objective and within 3” of the objective marker.Relic: The unit carrying the relic is also able to control an objective. Skyshield Landing Pad: Terrain type: Unusual. The top surface of the Skyshield Landing Pad is open ground. To move onto or off of the landing pad counts as moving through difficult terrain.Skyshield Landing Pad: Units assaulting an enemy unit on a Skyshield Defence Platform are not considered to have their line-of-sight blocked by the platform itself. If other terrain blocks LoS to the unit being assaulted the unit may not assault.

MISSION RULES

NOTE: Any reference to models or units 'killed' also includes models that are off-board or falling back at the end of the game.

Each game provides a maximum of 24 Battlepoints to be acquired. These are earned as follows: Alpha Missions: 12 points if won, 6 points to each player if tied. Beta Missions: 6 points if won, 3 points to each player if tied. Gamma Missions: Up to 6 points scored as follows: Slay the Warlord: 2 points to a player for killing the enemy warlord and his warlord remains alive 1 point to each player if both warlords are killed 0 point to each player if both warlords are alive

First Blood: NOTE: THIS IS NOT THE STANDARD RULES FOR THIS SECONDARY OBJECTIVE! 2 points to a player for killing the first unit if no units of his are also eliminated in the same game turn 1 point to each player if the player losing the first unit is able to kill an enemy unit in that same game turn. 0 points to each player if no units are eliminated (and maybe a prize if you can win a game achieving this!)

Linebreaker: 2 points to a player if he has a scoring or denial unit in his opponent's deployment area and his opponent has none in his deployment area. 1 point to each player if both players have scoring or denial units in their opponent's deployment areas. 0 points to each player if neither player has scoring or denial units in their opponent's deployment areas.

Tiebreaker: Record the number of enemy units killed and the total number of killpoints in the enemy army. In the event of a tie on accumulated battlepoints over the tournament, the player with the highest proportion of available enemy killpoints 'killed' will be placed higher. Note: This means that killing 4 out of 6 available killpoints ranks higher than killing 9 out of 15.

Night Fight, Reserves and Mysterious Objectives are in use. Mysterious terrain rules are not in use.

Soft Scores:

There will be two categories of soft scoring. These will be part of the 'Best Overall' award and have their own prize categories.

Appearance: In addition to a 'Best Painted Army' award, a battlepoint bonus will be awarded based on your army appearance. Note that we are not putting any 'hard' rules here about painting quality - slapping 3 colors on different parts of models won't count as 'base standard'. A reasonable effort to put colors on the appropriate parts of a model will count. 'Good tabletop standard' includes appropriate base painting along with basic shading (washes or dry-brushing done to a reasonable standard would count for this). 'Wow!' level means you are going to be in the running for the 'Best Painted Army' award.

Army not all painted, or below base standard: 0 points All models painted to base standard: 3 points All models painted with at least base standard, at least 50% to good tabletop standard: 6 points All models painted to a good tabletop standard, all models based: 9 points WoW! 12 points

Sportsmanship: The round 3 results sheet will include space for you to rank your opponents in order of how you rank their sportsmanship. (Note that this may be different to how much you enjoyed the game!). Your score from your three opponents will be multiplied by 2 and added as bonus battlepoints to your tournament score (generating a score between 6 and 18). There will be an award for the highest sportsmanship score. In the event of a tie, the tiebreaker will be the highest battlepoints among the tied players.
