Happy 2019! The Stonewall PTA is excited to be back to complete the second half of the school year. So many fun and educational activities are planned for the winter and spring, we hope that you will attend them all. This month we have our Family Movie Night (January 25th @6:30 pm). Bring blankets or chairs and join us for a showing of Incredibles 2 in the gym – we will pro-vide the movie popcorn and water! No drop offs, please, these events are for families to enjoy togetherJ Our monthly PTA meeting is Tuesday, January 22nd @6:30 pm in the library. We would love to get to know you better! Meetings typically last @1 hour and feel free to bring the kids. Our Spirit Night this month is at Mr. Brews (220 Ruccio Way) on Tuesday, January 15th from 5-8pm. Stonewall will receive 25% of sales.
Remember – if school is cancelled, due to inclement weather, any PTA evening activity is also cancelled. This follows FCPS policy on after- school activities on days that school has been called off.
We are also busy planning our annual Love for the Arts Night on Thursday, February 21st from 6- 8 pm. Local artists, musicians, and dancers will be located throughout the school, to perform, instruct and provide hands-on experience for our Stonewall families. PTA will be providing $1 pizza meals and families will be able to view and purchase framed student art in the library. To provide these exciting programs, we need as many volunteers as possible. Be on the lookout for an email, regarding ways you can help, or contact us ([email protected]) It is a great way to get involved with our school community!
As always, please let me know if you have questions or concerns. Stay warm!
Amy Recktenwald, PTA President, [email protected]
The entire Stonewall staff thanks the PTA for
December’s “Cookie Hospitality Day!”
Thanks to all who donated
sweets for the event!
