Geoset* Drill Diamond
expert for industrial diamond products. Coatingsprotect the diamond crystal from aggressive bond-ing metals, such as iron, steels, chromium andtungsten. Ni-coated Geoset drill diamonds showunmatched retention in the bond matrix. Pull-outs are effectively reduced, therefore a maximum utilization of every drill diamond can be achieved.
Geoset drill diamond is a tough, self-sharpening,thermally stable product that can be surface set into the face of drill bits. Geoset provides increasedperformance over mined diamond and tungstencarbide products in a number of applications. Theirunique polycrystalline structure, formed through ahigh pressure-high temperature process, delivershigher crystal to crystal bonding strength for uni-form hardness and wear resistance. This micro-structure presents no weak cleavage planes, whicheliminates the problem of massive crystal fracturingduring drilling.
Thermal stability up to 1200°C in non-oxidizingenvironments allows Geoset drill diamond to be suc-cessfully used in the fabrication of high temperaturemetal bond systems. These wear resistant metal-matrix bits are used in some of the hardest rock for-mations for extended life and higher productivity.
