• Use Search Engine Tools such as Twitter search and Hashtags

• Look for useful sources .

• Tweetstats will measure the keywords most often used by the experts in your field.

• Trending Topics on Twitter…if you want to find out what’s current and topical.

• Trendsmap- Maps what’s being tweeted and where

• Tweetometer – measures amount rending of tweets correlated with place. Designed to create source of data that can be mined. (Crowdsourcing)

• Build up a presence. Tweeting, Retweeting. Commenting

• Interact – know what’s going on ..follow conferences, check out papers. Staying alert. Alerting others from conferences /seminars you’re attending

• Ask your research related questions and you may be answered. Twitter is full of helpful people who may know more than you…Free Advice .. .may lead to Collaboration.
