Stratix 6000 TM Managed Ethernet Switch Easy Configuration: With configuration screens in RSLogix 5000, web-based configuration through your web browser, and default switch configuration settings, the Stratix 6000 set up is simple and does not require a network expert. Security: Protect your network against unauthorized access using device authentication (MAC ID), turn ports on and off per your security needs, and restrict unwanted access using user name and password authentication. Diagnostics and Monitoring: The RSLogix 5000 Add On Profile (AOP), predefined Logix tags, and pre-engineered FactoryTalk View HMI diagnostic faceplates allow for access to network status. Simple Maintenance: Replace devices connected to your Stratix 6000 using DHCP per port IP address assignment. End devices simply request their IP addresses upon power up allowing your network to recover automatically. Robust, secure and easy to use, Ethernet switches are necessary to effectively design and manage manufacturing and enterprise networks. The Stratix 6000 line of fixed managed switches is designed to help ease deployment of your Ethernet networks on machines and the plant floor. The Stratix 6000, along with the Stratix 8000™ and Stratix 2000™ comprise the Rockwell Automation Stratix family of industrial Ethernet switches. The Stratix 6000 and Stratix 8000 managed switch lines are optimized for your Integrated Architecture: Easily re-use and migrate projects using RSLogix™ 5000 programming software; common with all Logix PACs Integrate control and information using FactoryTalk® View HMI faceplates; common with all Logix PACs Use EtherNet/IP™ to link plant floor and enterprise networks; common with all Logix PACs FactoryTalk View Faceplates RSLogix 5000 Add-On-Profile

Connectivity To Logix Controllers

The Stratix 6000 easily connects with Logix controllers. When the module is installed in the I/O confi guration, the controller automatically scans and identifi es it (Figure 1). Once the module is identifi ed, your network status is easily viewed in ladder logic (Figure 2) and is automatically updated in tags (Figure 3).
