Strong Start Outline A few reminders
This call should not be longer than 45 – 50 minutes including Q & A
You are in control of the call, keep the callers on task and try to keep questions
at the end.
Welcome
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to join the strong start call
tonight. I hope this call will give you some basic information for a Strong Start with Thirty-
One. I am going to start with some great information and then leave time at the end to
do questions and answers. The questions at the end are great training, so don’t hang
up early! Make sure you have pen & paper so you can take notes and jot down any
questions you want to ask.

Promote to Senior Consultant during your First Six Months and you will earn: $200
*Will be added to your commission check the month following your promotion.
Each level is earned based on the qualified party submission dates. You must submit
three $200+ parties within your first 30 days to earn level 1. You must submit three
additional $200+ parties within your next 30 days to earn level 2.
You must submit three additional $200+ parties within the next 30 days after that to earn
level 3, or six additional $200+ parties within that 30-day period to earn both levels 3 and
4. StartSwell Rewards are subject to change.
This Start Swell program is available Jan. 1 2012 to July 31, 2012.
Why do parties so soon?
It is very important that you have 4 – 6 parties on your calendar in your first month.
When you do this you will reap the benefits the company offers and you also can
qualify quickly. To be qualified you must submit $1000 in sales. And to stay active you
must sell $200 in a rolling 3 month period.
Okay now that I’ve told you what you can earn, what other reasons would you want to
Start Strong?
You will make a great Income right away and earn back the money you invested in
your business when you bought your kit.
o When you hold 4-6 parties in your 1st month and do good hostess coaching, you
should have 8-10 guests at your parties. With just 8 guests who place an average
order of $50, your parties will be about $450 each. If you encourage your hostess
to have 5 outside orders, that can increase your sales another $150-$200.
The company average party is $500.
o $500x 6 parties is $3000 in sales your 1st month you make 25% commission, so in
your 1st month if you follow the proven plan for success, you will earn $750 plus
the start swell kit I mentioned earlier. When you book just 2 parties from each of
those 1st 6 parties you will have 12 new parties scheduled
o Think about hosting an open house. There are many benefits to hosting your own
open house. It is a great way to introduce the products to your friends & family.
Plus you are the hostess so you can get the hostess benefits. That is the perfect
way to add products to your consultant kit. Plus, it is one of your 4 – 6 parties
Another great reason to have 4 – 6 parties in your first month is it will help you build
confidence and get past the nervousness
o I’ve seen consultants hold 1 party a month or 1 party every couple of weeks and
these consultants never get past that nervousness. It’s like starting over every
time they do a party.
o By holding 1 or 2 parties a week for your 1st month you get a routine down, you
remember the words to say, you will learn to set up and take down your kit faster,
but most importantly you get more comfortable and more relaxed with each
party. As you begin to relax and get more comfortable so will your guests, and
when your guests are more comfortable and relaxed, they will have fun and will
spend more and book more! That’s a part of our proven plan for success! After
your 1st 6 parties, YOU decided how many you want to continue each week.
To help you get more parties on your calendar, fill out your List of 62. You can find
this on page 29 of the new consultant training guide that came in your kit.
Hostess Coaching- What are the benefits?
Make sure you read pages 9 -11 in your new consultant training guide. Hostess
coaching is one of the most important things you can do to have a successful party.
You have committed to going to her house to have a Thirty-One party, why not make
the most of it? You are leaving your family; she is kicking her family out for the night.
You both will benefit by good hostess coaching.
Do not assume that your hostess knows how to have a great party. Assume that she
does not. It is your job to coach her through each step to have a successful party.
Follow the guidelines in your new consultant training guide and you will have a
successful party.
It is important to make 3 contacts with your hostess. Use the hostess cards that you
received in your kit. The cards will keep you organized.

Booking 3-2-1
Book shows using the 3-2-1 method
o Talk to 3 people a day about your business
o Hold 2 parties a week so you’re always selling & meeting new people
o Add 1 person to your team every month
Booking at parties
Study the hostess rewards on pages 4 & 5 in the catalog
At your parties, make sure the hostess knows that for every Thirty-One
party booked at your Hostess’ party, she’ll receive a FREE personalized
Organizing Utility Tote in the print of her choice when she attends those
parties. That’s a value of $32 when you add in the FREE personalization! So
if she has three bookings from her party, she receives THREE free totes –
one for each party she attends – with NO purchase necessary and NO
limit!
At your party, talk about the hostess exclusive items – Available only to
hostesses!
Talk about earning free products and ½ price items
Talk about the hostess special for the month
Offer an incentive of your own if someone books a party
Ask for the booking, even if they check „no‟ on the door prize card. When
I do my parties I tell everyone that I will calculate their shipping and tax.
This allows me time to speak with each customer and ask if they would like
to host a party.
Make the party fun! If they have fun, they will want to book.

Your excitement will be contagious, so share the opportunity every chance
you get
At your parties, if you make mistakes, it’s okay. It just shows others that you
don’t have to be perfect to do this.
Your director will train your new consultants, and you get to enjoy the benefits
once you promote to Senior Consultant

Check with your director for a team meeting location near you
Celebrate & Connect meetings are a great way for you to network with
other consultants and learn new ideas that will help you each month.
Each month you can learn more about hostess coaching, booking ideas,
product ideas and more.

You can attend any Celebrate & Connect meeting around the country
Look for an email with information on how to register for the next

Pay Day
We get paid twice a month
Sales submitted 1st – 15th of the month will be paid on the 25th of the month
Sales submitted 16th – last day of the month will be paid on the 10th of the
following month
If you do not do a direct deposit, you will be charged $4 check
processing fee for each pay day that you receive a check
Tips to Success
Check Thirty-One today at least every other day to stay up to date on
announcements, business updates. Plus there is a new consultant forum
that you can join and chat with other new consultants. You can also listen
to 31 minute archived trainings. There is also video trainings that you can
watch including party demonstrations
Don’t miss out on the exclusive training just for new consultants on Thirty-
One Today. The training is filled with printables, videos and 31 minute calls
You’re excitement is contagious! Share Thirty-One with everyone. Use
your products so you can get to know the products plus, it is free
advertising!
I know you are excited to share the catalogs with everyone you
know….even those you don’t. But don’t give anyone a catalog without
your information on the back! Print labels.
Play with your virtual office. You can enter a mock order, just don’t hit
submit on the payment screen and you will be fine. Delete the order after
you are done playing. This is a great way to give yourself some training on
how to enter orders. Refer to your “How to order guide” that you
received in your kit.
Do not place orders on the last day of the month. Make your month end
the day before the last day to prevent frustrations.

then VIEW MY CONTACT LIST, then ADD A CONTACT
o Enter email addresses on each customer when you enter orders.
That will add them to your newsletter database.
