Messages Career of the Month - Charity Careers November is looking at Charity Careers and all this entails – from fundraising to finance, campaigning to care, there are many diverse roles available. There will be a new display, form time activity, piece on the school website and a guest speaker.

Miss Woods

Careers Tip Careers tip of the week - Look to the future – there are going to be jobs in 10 years’ time which don’t even exist today. Keep your options open and if you are choosing options for GCSE or A levels soon, make sure you pick a good range of subjects. Science, technology and the humanities are always going to be well thought of by universities and employers. Careers interviews – if you are in year 9 or 10 and would like a career interview on the 30

th November, please come

and see Miss Woods in RO2 to sign up. Miss Woods

Year 11 Interviews with the Headteacher All Year 11 students will be meeting with Mr Dutnall during November and December. Emails will be sent to Progress Managers and Form Tutors who will be asked to ensure you note in your planner when the meetings are to take place. Meetings will be held in small groups in Mr Dutnall’s office and by Form groups. Each meeting will last about 15 minutes.

Anne Frank Trust The Anne Frank Trust will be running two day long workshops on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week called ‘Switch Off Prejudice’. This will be attended by Peer Guides and Y9 students who have been selected by myself and Elishia. I will email out student lists for those involved. Students will be told they are to catch up on any missed work.

Miss Pitty

Bus Safety The Police have visited recently and want to remind students that you should take care when crossing the roads outside school before 8.30am. There have been a number of concerns raised by motorists and bus drivers who have seen students not using the zebra crossing or paying attention when crossing the road.
