BOTANICAL GARDEN, SHILLONG

S. K. Dhattacbaryya

Zoological Survey o/India. Calcutta. India

Five species of mites are described and figured. three of which are new to science: Parasilus shlllongensis. sp. nov., Parasltus assamensls. sp. nov. and Antettnoseius indicus, sp. nov. The remaining two species. Pergamasus (Pergamasus) prlmltlvus (Oudemans, 1904) and Ve/gala uncala Farrier. 1957. are recorded for the first time from India.

Type species are deposited in the collection of the Zoological Survey of India, Calcutta.
