The Trust was established in 1991 by Smt. Rajwati Bhatnagar in the memory of her educationist husband, the

late Dr K.K. Bhatnagar. The purpose of the Trust was to guide the energy of the youth of our country in the right

direction. This aim could only be achieved by educating the youth. Thus the Trust ventured into the field of

education by establishing educational institutions from the primary level to higher education. In addition to

providing education, the aim of the Trust is to instil principles of service, nationalism and brotherhood into the

young Indian minds. The Trust has also been carrying out various other social, national and charitable activities.

Subharti is a mission of service to provide basic necessities of life such as health and education to everyone

without any consideration of caste, creed, religion or any other man-made factors, by establishing Schools,

Colleges, Hospitals, Ashrams and Service Centers.

Subharti is a revolution of love and sacrifice to bring people together by removing hatred, spreading love,

building up of moral and national character and service of mankind so as to make the dream of “Vasudhaiva

Kutumbakam” come true. Social reformations by formation of casteless society, removal of communalism,

terrorism are its important activities. Subharti is an expression of gratitude to those who sacrificed their lives for

the cause of humanity, equality and independence of the country, thus committing itself to National Integration.

That is why this University has been named after one of the most illustrious sons of this country- Swami

Vivekanand.

Subharti was started as a social service organization several years back. The main objective of Subharti is to

provide medical aid and education to the poor and the needy. It is also committed to social and communal

harmony and national integration for creating a casteless society for globalization. To serve this purpose, several

schools up to the intermediate level and several health centers were established in villages. All the centers of

Subharti have been named in the memory of our National Heroes such as Guru Gobind Singh, Netaji Subhash

Chandra Bose, Chatrapati Shivaji, Sardar Patel, Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar and several others. In 1996,

Subharti stepped in the field of professional education. In 2008 Subharti was accorded the status of a University.

Subharti is also running Lokpriya Hospital, a super speciality hospital in the heart of Meerut city. It is one of the

biggest hospitals in the private sector in U.P. and caters to all the sections of the society. Another hospital with

the purpose of teaching training and service has been developed in the main campus of Subharti Medical College

by the name of Chhatrapati Shivaji Subharti Charitable Hospital.

Subharti has achieved yet another milestone leading to another campus in sacred memory of one of India’s great

son, ‘Ras Bihari Bose’ at Dehradun with the name of ‘Ras Bihari Bose Subharti University’.

Dr Salim Dad Khan did his graduation from Hamdard Medical College, Delhi in 1979. A popular Doctor loved and sought after by the masses. He had been Deputy Chief Warden of civil defence, Meerut. THE PRESIDENT

A Leader needs to foresee to make things better, have the vision, the skill, and the wherewithal to

revolutionize the system; and mobilize the energy of others to organize and act in ways to achieve

that vision.

Dr Shalya Raj did her graduation from SDM College of Dental Sciences, Dharwad and completed her

Masters in Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics from Subharti Dental College. She is presently

working as an Associate Professor in Subharti Dental College. Innovation has always been her forte

and forays into the unknown has been her strong point. She combined the benefits of engineering

and dentistry for the benefit of patients and did her doctoral thesis on the novel concept of

Computational Fluid Dynamics. Her keen interest in academics is reflected in the fact that she has

published numerous research papers, articles and books even at this young age. She is also the guide

to a few selected students pursuing research.

She is a lady who has her mind set and plans made. She is independently looking after the Directorate

of Distance Education in the capacity of the Director. Realizing her sense of purpose and a sense of

direction, the board of trustees have nominated her as the President of the Trust. She is a popular

teacher, academician, good clinician and above all a dedicated human being. It is these qualities that

make her an integral part of all cultural and social events of the University. She is a trained Kathak

dancer and Hindi classical singer, and her efforts have won her various accolades in the field of

painting, craft and drama.

Dr Shalya was awarded the ‘Health Icon, Meerut’ award in 2016 and the ‘Peace

Activist Award’ 2016. She was selected as the ‘Youth Icon, 2016.’

Under her guidance, the Trust also received the award of ‘Global Peace Ambassador award

conferred by IBEI-YSSSRF.’ The Trust received appreciation for donations to the 'Army Welfare

Fund' and the ‘CM Relief Fund,’ Uttarakhand.

We have all been sent for a purpose to this planet, and what better purpose can there be than to

be of use to our nation. However we are all bound in the clutches of responsibilities and duties, not

all of us have the courage to leave all behind and fight at the border. So what can we do?

We can be good citizens, responsible nationals, rise above the minor differences of caste, creed,

religion, commit to our duties towards our Nation. But how do we do it?

Get educated, study hard and spread knowledge…

Be responsible, conserve the National resources and use them wisely…

Be good children, respect and realize the sacrifices your parents have done to get us here…

Claim our rights but with it, fulfil our duties… Remember God helps those who help themselves, Be

the Change you want to see.

THE FOUNDER

Dr Mukti Bhatnagar, a dynamic, versatile, charismatic and multidimensional

personality is a Professor of Medicine and a teacher of high acclaim and repute. She

completed her graduation (MBBS) and post graduation (MD in General Medicine)

from M.L.N. College, Allahabad. She also specialized in Post Graduate Diploma in

Maternal and Child Health, and Geriatric Medicine from Indira Gandhi National Open

University, New Delhi.

She excels in extra-curricular activities, which include debates, declamations,

dramatics, Indian classical vocal and instrumental music, dancing, fine arts, athletics

etc. She underwent specialised training in Imaging Techniques at Blackpool, Preston

and at Southampton Royal Hospital in the United Kingdom and has had the honour

of being invited by the National Institute of Social Defence as a Resource Person, to

Lecture students of six months and one-year Diploma Course on Integrated Geriatric

She had the most coveted distinction of presenting lectures on “Physical Disability in

the Elderly” and on “Physical Rehabilitation: Disabilities in Old Age” before an august

gathering of “SAARC” member countries in 2008 and 2009 respectively.

In recognition of her dedicated services in the field of education, health and social

service, she was conferred with the ‘U.P. Ratna’ in 2008 by all India Conference of

Intellectuals. She received ‘The Mahila Gaurav Samman’ on International Women’s

Day, from U.P. Films Photo Journalist Welfare Association (Regd.) on 8th March 2009

for her commitment to the cause of Women upliftment and empowerment.

She has been decorated with the “Rajiv Gandhi Shiromani Award” by The National

Integration and Economic Council, New Delhi on 9th August 2009 for her unstinted

contribution towards the spread of peace and harmony in the community.

She was honoured by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. N.K. Taneja for ‘Service towards

the Women Welfare’ on International Women’s Day by Department of History, C.C.S.

University Meerut, on 10th March 2011. She has also been felicitated by the

Consortium of Competence in Education for her Excellence in this field on 4th March

2012. Since then she has been winning multiple awards and recognition for her work.

The most recent being her selection as a member of the Medical Council of India.

education, Subharti KKB Charitable Trust took its first baby step, in this long journey,

with the establishment of Subharti Dental College in 1996, which has since then

acquired a commendable record of service in the field of education, healthcare and

social welfare. The University today, (established in 2008) is an exceptional and

exquisite learning educational hub, offering a variety of value-based, career-oriented

disciplines of technical and professional education, thus engaged in creating highly

qualified, academically and technically proficient professionals, who are responsive

to the emerging needs of the Nation.

his sophomore year at LLRM Medical College, Meerut at that time. Armed with a post graduate degree in

General Surgery, Dr Atul soon set out to realize his dream which had already taken shape in his mind.

The dream was to establish such institutions of education and training that would produce highly skilled

graduates and masters of academic excellence in every field and all aspects of life.

Atul Krishna is not only a reputed surgeon of Northern India but is also a great philanthropist, a learned

thinker, visionary and a committed, staunch social reformer, dedicated to the upliftment of the

downtrodden and weaker sections of society. Dr Atul Krishna is the visionary who spearheaded the

Subharti Movement and established Subharti KKB Charitable Trust, ’ a duly registered body, engaged in

social service and various other activities. He has also established several primary, secondary level schools

and rural hospitals in the remotest villages.

The University setup under the section 2(f) of the University Grants Commission Act,1956, under the Swami Vivekanand Subharti Vishwavidyalay Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam, 2008 (U.P. Act No. 29 of 2008) as passed by the Uttar Pradesh Legislature and assented to by the honourable Governor of Uttar Pradesh in September 2008. The University has been established under the aegis of Subharti K.K.B. Charitable Trust, Meerut, which has acquired a commendable record of service in the field of Education, Healthcare and Social Welfare. The main campus of the University is in the National Capital Region, strategically situated on National Highway 58, Delhi-Haridwar bypass road, Meerut, The campus aptly called ‘Subhartipuram’, is spread over a sprawling area of about 250 acres of land comprising of magnificent buildings, lush green lawns and vibrant surroundings with over 8000 people, determined to make this a ‘Jewel in the Crown’ of the nation. The University has been awarded the membership of Association of Indian Universities in 2013. “All India Conference of Intellectuals and School of Educators” have conferred “Outstanding University of the Year 2013-2014 ” to The University for its outstanding contribution in the fields of education, science, healthcare, national integration, social empowerment and preservation of cultural heritage. A retired IAS officer with wide and diverse experience having held important assignments like

Chief Secretary, Govt. Of Goa, Member Secretary, Twelfth Finance Commission in the Ministry

Of Finance, Govt. Of India, Chairman, Tariff Commission, Vice Chairman, Central

Administrative Tribunal and Secretary, Indian Council of Agricultural Research.

Dr G.C. Srivastava (Born- July 1, 1943) has had a brilliant academic and professional career.

After having an early education in different schools in U.P., he graduated from Lucknow

University in 1959, and thereafter took Post-graduation in Geophysics from Banaras Hindu

University and in Public Administration from Punjab University. He studied at Allahabad

University for his L.L.B. and acquired his doctorate degree in Agricultural Economics from

Kanpur University. After Joining the Indian Administrative Service in 1967, He worked in

different capacities in states of Assam, Mizoram and Goa as well as in the national capital

territory of Delhi. He held important positions in the Ministries of Personnel, Agriculture,

Commerce & Industries and Finance of Govt. of India until he Retired as Member Secretary of

the Twelfth Finance Commissions on 31st December, 2004. Thereafter, he was appointed by

Government of Uttaranchal as Chairman of the Second State Finance Commissions, and soon

after completing the assignment, he came back to the Government of India as Vice Chairman

of the Jabalpur Bench of the Central Administrative Tribunal, from where he retired on

30.06.2008.

Dr Srivastava has written books on different facets of Public Administration, including

Industrial Development, Agricultural Research, Municipal Administration, Panchayat Raj

Institutions and Fiscal Federalism. He has travelled widely within the country and abroad and

has participated in several National and International Conferences and Seminars. As the

Secretary of The Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Dr Srivastava was associated directly

with the educational system of the country for five years.

Prof. (Dr.) N. K. Ahuja, an alumni of King George Medical College, Lucknow, joined Army Dental Corps as a Direct Permanent Commission Officer in July, 1970 and served the length and breadth of the country on a variety of assignments including Bangladesh operations and faced militancy in Nagaland and J & K. Army Chief duly awarded him “commendation card” for his dedication, loyalty, sincerity. He took premature retirement in Nov, 1993 and got into full-time teaching in Dental colleges. He served Subharti Dental College for more than 11 years as HOD-Orthodontics & as a Principal. He later took over as Pro-Vice Chancellor of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University. Dr Ahuja was conferred with "Meerut Ratan" by All India Conference of Intellectuals. Decorated with "Rajiv Gandhi Shiromani'" award by National Integration & Economic Council, New Delhi. He had an honour of being the President of Indian Orthodontic Society for the year 2010-11.

Swami Vivekanand He was decorated as the first Professor Emeritus of the Subharti University in 2010 on the eve of his retirement as Pro-Vice Chancellor, for his dedication and acumen. His diversified experience and astute administrative capabilities make him a dynamic administrator. In April 2014, he took over as Director - General Administration of the Swami Vivekanand Subharti University. International Forum of Defence Services (Dental) awarded him Lifetime achievement award on the 9th of September, 2014. He was selected as the Vice Chancellor of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut in April 2015. He was also conferred with “Outstanding Professor” award by Indian Orthodontic Society on 11th December 2015. He has been awarded Lifetime Achievement Award by Army Chief, General Dalbir Singh Suhag in the year 2016 and distinguished Alumni KGMC, award – April 2016. More recently, A Lifetime achievement was awarded to him by National Institute of Cleanliness Education & Research 2016. Another feather in his cap was added, recognizing his Governance & Leadership Quality by National Assessment & Accreditation Council by grading Swami Vivekanand Subharti University as "A" grade which is a huge achievement for any young multi-specialty University (13 Faculties).

Dr Vijay Bhatnagar has been the former Deputy Director, National

Institute of Occupational Health (ICMR), Department of Health

Research (MOHFW), Ahmedabad. His research specialization covers

a wide variety of fields ranging from environmental health risk,

industrial pollution and environmental impact assessment. He has a

vast teaching experience in National Institute of Occupational

Health, Ahmedabad. To his credit, he has published over 70 research

papers in high impact factor, peer reviewed National and

International journals and chapters in several books. He is also the

reviewer of many national and international journals. He is the

recipient of National Institute of Health (NIH) Fellowship and a

visiting scientist at Institute of Environmental Health, University of

Cincinnati; National Institute of Occupational Health & Safety

(NIOSH), Cincinnati, Ohio and National Cancer Institute, NIH,

Bethesda, Maryland, USA. He has been listed by Marquis Who’s

Who in World 2006; Health Professional 2008, International

Biographical Centre, Cambridge and Google Biomed Expert.

P. K. Garg, is a Gold Medalist in Electrical Engineering from BITS,

Mesra, Ranchi. In Higher Education he has brilliantly contributed to

leadership and governance system of HEIs.

With a vast experience of various important positions, he joined the

University as the registrar from its very inception. His dedication,

sincerity and out of the box thinking is what separates him from the

rest. He takes keen initiative in introducing new areas in University

programmes and teaching. He has been organizing academic and

extra-curricular activities.

Dr Rohit Ravinder, a multidimensional personality has established

himself as a dynamic leader and able administrator in the shortest

span of time. He graduated from Government Dental College,

Rohtak, and pursued his post graduation from Subharti Dental

College, where he is working as an Associate Professor in

Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics. He is the Director of

Lokpriya Hospital, the urban health centre of the university- a 300

bedded super speciality hospital located in the heart of Meerut city,

wherein his hard work brought new colours of success to the

Auditoriums We feel proud and blessed to announce that Sri Sri Ravi Shankar inaugurated the new “Maangalya” Auditorium in our campus on the 1st of December 2014, with a seating capacity of over 2500 members, spread over an area of 4.25 acres, equipped with all latest equipments, built on international standards, it is one of its kinds in North India. ADMISSION PROCEDURE A student wishing to join the University should submit application form to the International Student & Global Relations Cell along with the prescribed fee. The student will also have to submit all the required documents by mail or by post • The documents will be sent to the Association of Indian Universities or other

concerning councils by the student himself or by the University along with the prescribed fee, for getting the equivalence certificate to certify that the student fulfills the criteria for admission in the particular course

• Only students having qualification recognized as equivalent by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) or other concerning councils are eligible for admission in a particular course of study as per University & related statutory body norms applicable from time to time

• After verifying the eligibility of the candidate for admission in a particular course the IS&GR Cell will issue a provisional admission letter to the student and will ask the student to obtain Visa from the appropriate authority

• After submitting copy of Visa and/or any other certificate required from the Embassy/Government for admission, the student will be informed to deposit the required fee and the Medical Certificate

Admissions to the courses offered by Swami Vivekanand Subharti University are done either through Entrance Examination [NEET(-MD,MS,MBBS,MDS,BDS)/or Subharti University Entrance Test (SNET)] or on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination, spot test and interview.
