New Delhi, March 14 Ministry of CivilAviation hasproposed about 392routes under UDAN4.1 bidding process onthe occasion ofcommencement of theAzadi Ka AmritMahotsav. The UDAN4.1 round is focusedon connecting smallerairports, along withspecial helicopter andseaplane routes. In addition tothese, some newroutes have beenproposed under theSagaramala SeaplaneServices inconsultation with theMinistry of Ports,Shipping andWaterways. Till date,325 routes and 56airports including 5heliports and 2 WaterAerodromes have

The step was discussed in the 39th & 40th Transport DevelopmentCouncil Meetings and was appreciated & concurred to by participantsfrom the states. The rules come even as the Ministry is in the pursuitof providing seamless movement to tourist passenger vehicles, afterthe success of goods carriage vehicles under National Permit Regime. Moreover, the scheme allows flexibility in the form of authorization/permit being granted, for a period of three months or its multiplesthereof, not exceeding three years at a time. This provision has beenincorporated keeping in mind those areas of our country where thereis a limited season of tourism and also for those operators who havelimited financial capacity. It will also consolidate a centraldatabase and fees of all such authorization/permits, which mightgive a sense of tourist movements, scope for improvement,promotion of tourism. The step comes in the context of travel and tourism industry inour country increasing manifold in last fifteen years. The growthhas been contributed by both domestic and international tourists,and there is a trend of high expectation and consumer experience.

She felt that she can start this business with littleinvestment and can gain good profit from it. Smti. M. Kalaimani isalso a member of a Self Help Group (SHG) namely 'Shivashankara'of Beodnabad village. In July 2020, she got loan from ANINRLM withwhich, she started her poultry business initially with only one henand one rooster. With the passing of days, her business developed andtoday she has nearly 250 chickens of different varieties available in herpoultry. Smti. Kalaimani happily shares that "now I have a turnover of10 to 15 thousand rupees every month from the firm, the real game changerhas been the loan available from NRLM Scheme. "Earlier, there were nosuch sources available for rural women like me", she mentioned. Although the story of Smti. M. Kalaimani is just a testament to thesuccess of Govt. run programmes; there are still thousands of rural womenwaiting to enjoy similar success. Smti. Kalaimani thanked the SHG'Shivashankara', the GoI and the Department of RD, A&NAdministration for making such schemes reach out to the grassroot level,a press release from Directorate of RD/Panchayats said.
